The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning :frow

J, that's too funny about your Buttons and the mirror...guess they enjoy a crowd.

@sunflour thanks for the reminder about flu shots, I need to get mine. DH refuses...he says every time he gets the shot, he gets the flu (I say nonsense but he swears it's so). I think he's just afraid of the big, bad needle

We're making a day trip today! Actually tearing DH away from the golf course long enough for a drive up into the mountains to a tiny place called Centennial. Going to meet up with my cousin, mom and nephew for lunch. Should be a pretty drive and the last chance before it's all snowed in.

You all have a great day!

The midday movie the other day was supposed to be in Wyoming. I'm not sure whether it was actually shot there, but it was beautiful scenery. It had Jane Seymour in it and Tantoo Cardinal.

What was the name of the movie? A Google search would say where it was made (I'm guessing).

I looked on IMDb but it wasn't clear on there.... Says a joint US/Canadian production, so it could have been shot in Canada. It was called "Dear Prudence", it was only a TV movie so there's probably not a lot of interest about it to have a lot of google info. It was lots of log cabin=y buildings, and prairieland. Wherever it was, it was very pretty.

EDIT spoke too soon, find this: " The original Dear Prudence movie was filmed in Calgary, Alberta, Canada", so north of Wyoming. Is it similar landscape, do you know?

Can't wait for chick photos!

I've had a few more Button chicks hatch. I thought it was great for the first one who was lonely so I took away its mirror and put in the newbie. Well, the first one complained pitifully until I put the mirror back in. Then I found them like this:

Too cute!

I have a few more (8 eggs set) due in a week and that's it. I'm not adding any more, even though my girl in the aviary gave up on hers. Too bad, we already have too many but my daughter is keen to sell them (they are technically her birds bought with her money) as I have explained the benefits of selling them and using the profits to buy stuff you want.

It's a miracle any hatched when I have this much help:

I cannot tell you how many times I've had to reset the temperature!

The pic with the mirror is priceless - have you entered any photos for the other fowl calendar - or is the contest over?

Maybe the cat is broody!:lau

Glad you two are getting to do something other than work, enjoy your day.

I've been to Alberta but that was many years ago. So don't know if similar or different
