The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I love free shipping! Glad your snow quit...we've gotten 6 inches of rain this week. I wish I could send it to those who need it. I could never wear long johns... I wear shorts thru the winter:D(in the house)

Shorts? In the winter?

Guess they raise them hardy in Minnesota, lol. Heck, I rarely wear shorts in the summer.

We can always tell those from colder areas passing thru or relocated here - they're the ones in shorts when we have near freezing temps and the locals are in scarves, gloves, coats :lau

That's how we could tell the locals from the visitors when I lived in south FL too. Anything below 80* and we'd be in sweaters while the out-of-towners would be in tank tops and flip flops.

Good morning all!

@KDOGG331 Chewy doesn't have a whole lot in the chicken department but they have more than I can find locally. I had to talk to their customer service folks yesterday and you're right, that was great! I ended up making a plug for BYC as the rep seemed so interested in hearing from someone that was buying for their chickens ;)

No snow expected today so maybe I'll make it into town finally.

Hope you all have a good one :)

Good job Debby! I've never ordered from chewy. I usually go to runnings for chicken supplies. I still can't believe you have snow already!!

About the only thing I can get around here now is feed (and a few other non-food items) so I was glad to find a place where I could get other stuff. And with setting up a routine 8-week refill order I got a nice discount. And ended up with free shipping. So looks promising, I'll let you know how it works out.

The snow is gone except up in the hills. I'm sure that's temporary, we have more cold coming in a few days. Good thing I've already bought my long johns!

Seems like it's awesome :)

So it seems like you can get food locally now?

But if you ever need other sites, I've ordered food from Mills Fleet Farm before and they have a lot of supplies and food and stuff. And North 40 Outfitters is good too. They have a lot more food but not quite as many supplies (I just checked out both websites aha)

And I think you could probably order from rural king or tractor supply's websites too

Oddly Petco and Petsmart, at least ours, now have small chicken sections too haha

You get used to 90 and above all summer. Luckily most places have ac.

Oh wow, I guess that makes sense but i would think I'd still be sweating lol

One time we visited family friends in FL and went to the beach and the daughter was saying the water was kind of chilly, its cold, etc., meanwhile we were like it's not cold it's so warm what the heck!? Guess cause we're not from there :lau this was on the gulf side. And now, it wasn't like hot by any means and maybe it was slightly cooler than normal but it was still soooo warmmmm, at least to us. Especially coming from up here where the Atlantic is FREAKING FREEZING AND YOU CAN NEVER SWIM :lau

Yeah, we lived on the gulf side just north of Sarasota. Beautiful place but too crowded.

I'm not sure where it was but maybe near there or maybe Tampa?

My parent's lived in Florida for a while. Idk how long, maybe like 10-15 years lol

They lived in Tierra Verde.

And I was actually born in Tampa. So were my brothers. We moved up here when my brother was like 5 or 6, I was almost 2, and my little brother was only like a few months old, maybe older but idk. I think we moved up here like 1996? So I've lived here almost my entire life, like over 20 years, so I don't really remember Florida at all. My brother would probably remember more but yeah

Anyone else having a Tuesday like this?
