The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thanks! I was surprised to find plants rooted in 6 packs of sweet potatoes. Usually i buy rooted cuttings at a nursery.
I rooted my own with a SP from the health food store. Only got a few scrawny spuds, not even 1 pound :(

I'll drive there today to check with Anna, the mail lady (she's the one and only PO employee we have).
DW (who is a postal clerk) asks "Do you have Informed Delivery Daily Digest?" It sends you an email every day with SOME of the items you should get that day.

Note to self...never send NFC chicks.
DW says "Include the phone number (@N F C DOES have phone service, right?) and Anna will call her when the chicks arrive. Make sure she knows they are coming so she can tell Anna about when they should arrive at the PO.

Aw, come on!

As long as you use UPS or FedEx they'd be fine, those guys will actually come to my house! Uncle Sam's mail system, no way
DW (again) says she doesn't think FedEx or UPS delivers live animals. USPS does, including not only hatchery birds but also things like tropical fish!

Idk, i am in the dark too!
Of course you are, the sun set nearly 2 hours before you posted!

Thanks for the very helpful post!

Wicky, you need to keep welcoming the newbies (along with Kiki) so you can get you a new badge!
(Now I'm all embarrassed.) 900x900px-LL-0ed186b2_LL-33.gif
Um...tell Anna that the folks in Texas are a little...off.
I'm sorry.
I thought everyone already knew that.
What?
Thanks for clarification :old Some of us are not as quick anymore.

Don't know is she has a smartphone, some of us at OUR age don't :lau
What is that...29? ;)
I keep mine on, but don't answer it :plbb
Hey! That's just like me!

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Where is everyone? I am used to 3-4 pages of catch up ;)

We got some afternoon and overnight rain which my baby grass appears to have loved. Overcast today and very windy with a 40% chance of showers. The relative humidity of only 59% is a welcome change.

So, I couldn't help myself and had to Google 'Virgin Flaked Tuna' and it appears that only puddy cats get to experience this delicacy .. not much mentioned other than the cat food.

Virgin Flaked Tuna is handmade using only the finest ingredients. This special recipe is lovingly prepared to delight your much-adored companion every day.

No mention anywhere of what or how the 'Virgin' comes into it so I can only assume that, as mentioned, the ‘handmade’ bit was by a virgin :lau

Yeah, sure, it is handmade  Does pushing the 'On' button on the production line qualify as handmade :p
Lol! As a child of The Discovery Channel, I know after salmon spawn, they die. So if they are catching the salmon in the ocean, they are virgin. They go up rivers to breed.
