The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I wanted to tell you about the power outage at work yesterday. Facilities turned off the power for emergency maintenance. That is often a problem with technology.

The DHCP server(also a print server) decided to do a major update on startup. It is a Windows server 2012 server--of course people started complaining because the server was not giving them an IP Address(needed to get onto the internet). Then I found out that a power adapter fried on the bosses switch! I had to replace it quickly and was late getting lunch. It was quite a rough day!
I always hated when stuff like that happened. Glad I'm retired and don't have to think about it any more. But I do know exactly what you are talking about.

And some of their combs appear really dry and/or frostbitten (one chicken). I do not remember this last year? What can I put on that? The castor oil or should I use the Vaseline for their faces? Or is there something better than that???
Use the castor oil as it will help them heal, vaseline won't. If it is frostbite you need to increase ventilation in the coop so the humid air can get out.

Has anyone seen my husband?
He's about 6' tall, whitish bald head, usually stomping around muttering to himself?
Anyone seen someone like that?

He appears to be missing.

Glad you found him, if 6'1" you have just described my DH :lau

I am chilling in the chicken run! They are loving the cooked pumpkin i gave them! Want to see a lot of chicken butts?View attachment 1189835
:love

Today all my flock sang the egg song....bunch of fakers - not a single egg :barnie

It is funny how things slip away like treating the chickens.

I inherited a bunny when my Middle DD got married and moved to Finland. He has a tooth problem and I have to snip them when the front teeth get too long. I often put it off and the poor thing has trouble getting his food out of the dish.

Aww poor bunny :( maybe give him some more things to chew on? I know it's probably medical and chewing alone won't cure it but it might at least help keep it at bay longer?

My dog needs his nails trimmed BAD and we keep meaning to trim them or take him to the vet but we never do. We keep talking about it...

But he is aggressive about it so it's harder. But we need to just do it or pay someone to

Awesome deals!!

Awesome deals is right!

Thank you! I'll try that!

And yeah, the current coop has horrible ventilation or at least it's small so they're on top of each other but the new coop I think has a lot better ventilation and is way bigger so hopefully I can get them moved as soon as possible.

I need to trim bunny toenails, and the dog needs a bath.
I have a piece of wood that needs painting on one side for the vent area on the hoop coop, there is too much ventilation for when it is cold. Maybe i should hinge it.
The male bunny got a box today to sleep in for when it gets cold. Slowly getting everything done!

It is funny that you mentioned trimming the bunny toenails. I told him that I would get to those next. I better get on that!
