The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It'll be cheaper to keep a cow soon! Not that I'd be complaining... not that we'd be allowed to keep one where we are currently.
Maybe a nice small dairy goat ;)

I always figured it was densely populated like the rest of New England.
Note I said population, not population/sq mile. But we don't have the big "avoid whenever possible" cities like Boston. Alaska wins the least populated (density) race with 1.3/sq mile, Wyoming comes in second with 6/sq mi. Vermont is 31st with 67.7/sq mile. Jersey loses at 1,207.8/sq mile followed by Rhode Island at 1,010.8 then MA at 866.6/sq mi.

Of course that still doesn't tell the whole "population density" story. Alaska is the least dense but it is because there is a WHOLE lot of unpopulated frozen ground there.

Funny you mention ghee, my brother's girlfriend's mom was just mentioning that the other day.
Ghee is good for frying too. It does not have the milk solids in it so it does not scorch. It tastes like butter of course!
I didn't realize it was similar to butter, figured it was completely different. It sounds pretty good
Right because ghee is clarified butter. You can make it yourself by heating butter and skimming off the solids. I bet the Costco ghee is actually cheaper than doing it yourself though.

You're probably one of the handiest women I know CF...can you finish the shed yourself? Hope you didn't pay those guys in advance
I could finish it, but there are always other things to do. I just decided to build a shelf over where the metal garbage cans are so i can put buckets there to fill instead of doing it on the floor. It should be easier on my back. So i can either get a length of countertop or plywood would work. It has to be 2 feet wide or less so i can still reach over and open that window. Any way, framing in for windows is not my favorite thing. Plus there is another door to install. They have not been paid for their work yet, at least not on the goat shed. I was going to paint the inside of the shed but hubby said to wait until the windows are in. Grrr!:rant

Good point! Yeah, Alaska has a lot of big woods and stuff. Maine too.

Thanks for the info! We don't have Costco here but maybe BJs or Market Basket would have it

I am glad you have not paid them yet. Although that makes it more surprising. You would think they would want to do a good job to get paid well lol

And they actually sell hanging buckets and feeders and things. Might be easier than a shelf

DH and I attempted to drive through Atlanta on our way from FL to CO...talk about getting lost! Yikes! And once we got to Denver, CO we were even more lost (and I'd been going there since the '70's when my parents moved there).

Give me the wide open spaces :thumbsup

I can get a pic of the traffic I go through to work by a charter school - OMG glad I only have to drive by there once a day :bow The "Atlanta" traffic starts around Locust Grove, Ga only about 45 minutes above Macon, I don't even like going that far up I 75 even tho there's great shopping there.

I did the black friday madness thing Thursday night and Friday with my best friend...just about lost my cool in Menards. I did get 5 new sets of sheets though. I’ve never done 2 days in a row and doubt I ever will again. I am tired and crabby today and we are on our way to my sisters which is a 3 hour trip. Yes I’ll take some cheese to go with my whine:lol:

I don't have my stuff yet, but got the same prices as Belks with free shipping and no crowds to deal with :D....But our TV died last night and had to go buy a new one today, no big crowd, guess they stayed home today :) Boy prices have really gone down since our last tv purchase :clap.

@JaeG sorry about the loss.:hugs

I have been enjoying my day outside! The laundry dried fast, i need to bring that in . The bonfire is burning junk wood again and the birds are happy digging through garbage cans full of leaves.
Next the pallets come off the truck and the windows go down by the goat shed where no guys are working again!:rantFire their butts hubby!

:woot Hope those lazy guys get the job finished soon.

I hadn't realized milk from a farm was so good for you. I drink the regular stuff but it's not as good anymore and sometimes makes me feel weird ha

Because it has Prolactin in all and maybe Growth Hormone in it :sick.. That's why young girls now are ahhhh, hmmm , overly endowed .

Really? Cause the bottle says it comes from farms with no artificial growth hormones. Unless that is a lie. But 2 different brands say it. And say there's been proven to be no significant difference in taste. I think it might be illegal? Idk

One year I ordered everything on line and it was stress free. I hope I love my sheets as I’m picky. I love the sheets that I grew up with. I did find some percale which are my favorite. Our first flat screen we bought was expensive as they were just getting popular. We could buy 3 for what we paid for that.
