The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning friends :hugs

N F C the frogs are just for a framed picture. I chose frogs this time round because they seemed appropriate for our new tropical location. Funnily enough, I have never done a chicken one so I am thinking that might be my next project.

Capricorn beautiful quilt!! :love

CB777 Gabbie is adorable! :love

The bane of my existence is palms fronds! Some of the fronds are 8-9 foot long and extremely heavy. I wandered down the stairs yesterday to find one had fallen directly on my young avocado tree [Danny] and flattened him to ground level, taking out the support he was tethered to also. Of course it had to fall right there .. not just to the left or right :he

Because Danny is still young, his trunk is still a little flexible so I was able just to pick him back up and retether him. Fingers crossed that he survives.

That picture reminds me that I need to share another before and after but after I have mowed the lawns on Saturday. That bare area now has some lovely green lawn from the seeds I threw out.

@Teila, you name plants ?

LOL Sour .. some :p

Arnie and Danny [avocados] were sprouted from seed by me and spent their first few months on the kitchen bench where I became very attached to them. They lived in pots for their first few years because we were only renting and I shipped them up here when we moved and put them in the ground. I am kinda very attached to them.

I have Audrey [Little Shop of Horrors] who is a giant elephant ear and she has a friend [frog statue] Seymour.

Then there is Ming the Mandarin.

Charlie the Gardenia who was given to me when I was in Prince Charles Hospital.

Pinky and The Brain .................

Hhhhhm, may be more than some :lau

Our old place in Corning had a sycamore tree. It was huge and had a lot of very large leaves.

I will have to investigate Sycamore Trees - don't know if I've seen one....but my Grandparents lived in Sycamore,GA ;)

My brother visited our branch of NOAA years ago when they had an open house. He really enjoyed it and ran out and got a rain gauge.

:gig I check out NOAA and Weather.com each day - wish I could make money even if wrong:)

I got an updated pic today from the breeder of Gabbie....View attachment 1198608 ....:love

I never knew anyone who named their plants - cool. I talk to plants, but then again I also talk to my shirts. :idunno

Don't worry til the shirts talk back ;) .

Thanks to all for the kind comments on my quilt!
