The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hey Bruce, not sure how much you know about this topic but curious if you know of any good dog sledding places in Vermont, particularly around Bolton Valley?? I am Googling but thought maybe you might have personal experience or know someone who has. Of course living in Vermont doesn't mean you know everything about it so sorry about that hah but figured I'd ask

Edited just to change the wording/add some points, idk why.

I remember too...when we lived in Winter Harbor, Maine...we had to walk past an open bay to get to school and the wind would come whipping across the water....man, was it Cold. We moved there from Hawaii and talking about a rude awakening....that first year it got down to -22° with 20' drifts of snow....that was back in '64....looong before there was anything called windchill or feels like temperature. I'll never forget those days as long as I live, I tell ya.....:)
Brrr...last time I remember lots of snow is January of 1997 and we had back to back blizzards and I had a teething 10 month old and wasn’t able to leave the house.

When my parents came home from the hospital after my little sister was born, mom slipped on the sidewalk as she was carrying the baby. Mom's feet went out from under her, the baby flew out of her arms and landed in a deep snowbank head first. Good thing they'd had a lot of snow that year!

(And you can bet my brother and I had a lot of good times teasing our little sister with that story!)
