The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I dunno, Debby...it sounds great until you realize how many members there are on here. Would someone say, "Gee, I think I'll look to see if it's Chicken Poop's birthday today?" then scroll through the list of members who have actually put their dates on their profiles, Wouldn't they still have to have an idea that his/her birthday was close in order to think to look? Or would it be a "birthday today" kind of list, similar to the "whose on BYC" list? That would seem more doable. I guess I'm foggy in my newly acquired old age, but I wasn't visualizing exactly how you had it in mind.

Well, don't be too sure about that....it's still early in the "return game" and you could all get sick of me yet...... :duc Thank you!
Sadly for you, NOT LIKELY!!!!!

Hey galvanized trash cans are good! I could use one of those.
Our trash is included in our property taxes. Can't use our old cans anymore. We now have stupid plastic "square" bins with a lot of internal "structure" that wedge bigger things in or keep some stuff from coming out. I know I got more "volume" in the old "smooth inside" round or square cans. Wheels that don't roll on the loose stone path from the house to the parking area. Don't roll in the snow or the mud. So I have to carry them. Good thing I "downsized" to 32 gallon cans when we got notification that the cans would be 96 gallons!!! Those things are HUGE, I couldn't make that much trash in a week if I tried. I guess these cans would be OK for people in town with short paved driveways and level space next to the road.

We are supposed to put them out by the road, 3' apart. Why? Because at some point the hauler is going to buy a new truck that picks them up from the side rather than having some guy roll/drag them to the back of the truck. But they don't have that truck yet and I'm not measuring the separation distance ;)

Plus people like me don't like sharing the date. I'm not a fan well wishing. My birthday came and went without a peep out of me, just how I like it. There must be others like me, there must be, somewhere out there......

Ha...you just think we don't know....we all DO know. We are planning a huge surprise for you on the second Tuesday of next week. So there!

I thought maybe something as simple as The Who's online thing...nothing huge or complicated.

No one has to list their b-day, it's optional on their account.
P.S. Happy belated OHLD

Same difference!! And, as you know with DD1s fragrance sensitivities that developed about 12 years ago, one doesn't even walk through our front door wearing any sort of "stink".

Some states have a tobacco economy, not as much as a few decades ago though. But I think you would be hard pressed to get them to ban smoking. YEARS ago, like about 30 I guess, I went to my sister's in Manassas, VA and took an overnight trip to Charlotte N.C. to see friends that had moved there from here. We went out to a restaurant and being used to the "smoker separation" in such places here asked to be seated in the no smoking area. The look I got suggested I had recently escaped from the looney bin. I suppose by now they would know about such areas. ;)

Oh yeah, sorry, I wasnt saying to ban smoking altogether. I just think the no smoking inside thing should ne more widespread. With maybe exemptions for casinos and certain bars that still want it. But even they maybe should be required to advertise that they allow smoking so you know.

Crap, my evil plans have backfired. :he
@oldhenlikesdogs , either a belated or early Happy Birthday to ya. :gig
