The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I wish these workers would be effective! I am so PO'd that i have no power in my workshop because they are farking around trying to hook up power in the goat shed. This has been going on for 2 days( not in a row of course!) I want to throttle the guy. I mean come on! October 21st to January for a little shed build? I am just livid!
I put in another roll of insulation in the workshop, and i would have had the first piece of paneling up except it is getting dark and i could not see what i was doing since its getting dark. :barnie

I have to agree it's getting a bit ridiculous! Poor you!

Cap, you are letting those guys touch electricity???
They've already proven to be pretty clueless, I seriously doubt they are qualified to do anything with electricity other than to plug something into an existing outlet. I would be suspect of even that skill.
Not me, hubby in charge. They had one guy with no clue, now a different guy is working on it.
I just know i feel like kicking the boss in his butt! Really furious today!

But @Blooie tomorrow is his B-Day and it is only 6 hours from now (here). You can't throw him out NOW! OK, dish, what did he do??? ;)

Cap, you need to take over from the incapable men folk. Barring that I would hire an electrician to check the work when they are done, I fear a fire is in your future. It doesn't take 2 days to hook up a building, it is done AFTER you:
  • Put the fixture boxes in the goat shed
  • Run wires from the panel where the power will come into the building to the fixtures
  • Put the fixtures in
  • Run conduit underground from the box at the house to the box on the goat shed
  • Run wire through the conduit
  • Run wire from the box at the house to the service panel
THEN they shut the power off while they connect the 3 wires into the panel (after shutting off power to the panel of course) which takes but a few minutes and your workshop isn't without power very long.

I just wash my hands of the mess. Letting hubby handle it. I just handle the complaining part!:gig

High 30s low 40s starting yesterday (though dropping down to 20 tonight) but starting Thursday until Saturday it's supposed to be 50s. Rain Friday and Saturday. Then Sunday and next week is supposed to be colder but still 30s. Better than single digits and teens lol
