The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

And okay so today i woke up like 1:30 1:40 as usual and ate around idk 3 or 4, so not the best yet, BUT. So far today I have eaten really healthy. The chickens had laid 2 eggs so I grabbed those after refilling their food and then walked around the yard and purposely up hills. Came in and grabbed the 3 eggs from yesterday out of the fridge. Accidentally dropped 2 (which I called Gator in to clean up :p ) but surprisingly the third had absolutely no cracks or anything in it so I made myself 3 eggs. Scrambled them this time but no cheese. They don't look like very much scrambled but they were big eggs, huge yolks. At least large or even XL maybe? I didn't weigh them. So 3 eggs. No cheese or ketchup or anything which I usually use. And then I had 1 Chobani greek yogurt, the 0% ones, peach. That's the only slightly unhealthy/sugary thing but i wanted something filling. Then I also cooked up tons of greens I grabbed 2 handfuls of a spinach baby kale mix and 1 handful of a spinach, baby bok choy, baby chards mix, and sauteed it with olive oil. Ate that up. Yesterday I made spinach kale mix with 2 handfuls but it wasn't quite enough so I made 3 this time and wanted to add the spinach, bok choy, chard one thinking maybe there'd be some different nutrients. I didn't feel like a salad so cooking is better at least now. Sometimes I do make salads. I tend to put a bit too much olive oil in though but I can work on cutting that. And I made the eggs in butter. And salt and pepper both the eggs and the greens. So not 100% healthy yet but not unhealthy either. I was going to half blueberries too but they are already getting moldy despite just buying them like yesterday or the other day :barnie

So that's my health food for the day.

And oddly I am not remotely hungry yet even 3 hours later.

I do want to ask though I have been a tad bit shaky the last hour or two though (although less so right now) and was wondering if you think I should keep up my strict no sugar regime today and let my body detox/blood sugar equalize or if you think it's possibly low blood sugar and I should drink some juice and no other bad stuff? Cause i did that once and i was fine but i really don't want to have sugar

I also did this.

Oh and turns out it IS my time of the month after all.
You can get the my fitness Pal app and use it. It seems like a bit of work at first but it gets easier with use because you put in the food you eat and it remembers.

The App will tell you if you are getting enough nutrition(Protein, correct fats, vitamins and minerals) and what you need to eat to get proper nutrition

You've done well. Don't beat yourself up over fats... Most of the fat stories we hear are marketing not health. Your body needs different types of natural fats. Real cheese is not bad for you either. Also for variety, you can scramble greens into your eggs. Do avoid the ketchup for now (tons of sugar), but if you need more flavor make a pico degiao. Red onion, jalapeno peppers, garlic, diced tomato, a little cumin and oregano (Mexican is best) cilantro and lime juice. Add salt and pepper to taste, then let it ripen. It's wonderful on scrambled eggs. And it stores for days in the fridge. If you need something sweet go for natural sugars. Fruit as has been suggested or buttered (not margarine) toast with honey (local raw is best). Blooie's orange trick is a great way to have fruit available when you want it.

Just my two cents... I'm rootin for you.

ETA: When I do Brussels for DW I blanch them first then fry them.

I am proud of you KD! It could be lack of sugar or caffeine maybe. Maybe have something with a small amount of sugar like an apple or something. Sugar is a terrible addiction, i do know how it is

Thank you! I did have some juice, we don't have apples atm

But then sadly i also had a real small pack of brookside blueberry acai dark chocolate which honestly was not worth the sugar cause they're not that good and kind of hard.

And I made pillsbury cinnamon rolls and had about 4.

I did turn down the cherry pie though and was gonna have a yogurt but put it back. I should have had that.

But it's like i turn down one thing or do well for one second and eat another :(

Thanks i had that app but then deleted it. Idk why. Got lazy i guess.

I also have a samsung app that came with my phone. Samsung fitness i think

Thank you! Those are all great suggestions.

I need to buy some fruit.

Right now im eating skinny pop popcorn (turns out its not called smart pop)

And i suppose it's about time for dinner haha

Was gonna have lunchmeat earlier but didn't want to causw lunchmeats so bad but i might have some anyway just so I'm not eating more junk but I'll avoid the bread.

We've also got a problem with the fridge. It's kinda warm and was making a weird noise a few weeks ago but stopped.

Apparently something in it freezes up i forget what now and it is a common problem. Happened multiple times to some people. There is a class action lawsuit.

So I'm thinking we might return it or fix it while it's under warranty.

Figures we get a cheap fridge and it's one with problems lol

Of course it was only discounted because of the small dent in it but still.

I never really liked it anyway cause the shelfing system is weird and even though it's bigger it seems smaller

At least you are trying KD! Every good decision is a positive step. Good job!

That's true but i still think today was a major fail ha

But only cause i bought those stupid cinnamon rolls at bjs. Bad idea.

But i just won't make the rest for a while
