The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I had a boyfriend who constantly said "that's not how my mom makes It". I just kept making it my way. A few years later we went to visit (We lived in a different province). He kept saying "I like the way you make it better".
That us usually the way it works!

It is warmer than normal here in the Sacramento Valley so Mosquitoes are coming out already!

Well, he is still there and today I have been catching flies and dropping them in the track for him .. gunna have one very fat gecko very soon
He might like some of the "test" angel food cake.
 
DH picked me up from dropping off my car for an oil change. We decided to do some undercover research and checked out the new BBQ place in town.

Let's just say, we don't have anything to worry about :bun

Nothing was fresh made, only 1 BBQ sauce, the ribs DH got were terribly salty, the cole slaw and potato salad were tasteless (no seasoning at all). And pricey, wow, it was $45 just for our lunch.

Nope, we're ok!

Was the place a chain or Mom and Pop place?

I too am disappointed int BBQ Places that I go too. Same with steak houses. Whey spend that much on going out when what I make at home is much better!

Are you looking forward to starting up at the Golf Course?

The story we heard from others was this place was owned and started by 2 friends a few months ago. One of the guys that started it has already dropped out due to a dispute with his partner.

In a way I am looking forward to getting the restaurant opened for the season. As much hard work as it is, it's a real pleasure when you feed good food to people that enjoy it. I get a kick out of hearing back from satisfied, repeat customers.
