I wish books weren't so darn expensive.

I am trying to find books for my brother and gf. I have a bunch saved in Amazon list and some I own if I could ever find them lol .

I was going to buy some but too pricey.

I mean, they're not THAT expensive but $10 or $12 bucks or sometimes more for 5-7 or 10 books.... that very quickly adds up lol

Of course, that's never stopped me before, as evidenced by all the books in my closet, and some would be nice to have, but I am trying to save up as we are going to NY next weekend and I also eventually want to move out. And we're trying too get the credit cards down. I've bought wayy too much lately. So I am trying to control myself. Which is not easy. LOL

SO.

ANYWAY.

I'm getting a bit rambly but I think instead of buying them I am going to go to the library tomorrow or sometime this weekend and see what they have in stock. I think you can "order" books so to speak too.

I just got a library card yesterday. Haven't had one in a while but you can do cook online stuff like access databases and I think they even have TV shows and movies. So it's worth it. Plus we have a local network of like 14 libraries so you can get books from any of those too.

Anyway, I figure I can read the books, see if I like them or would recommend. Even though most come highly recommended by lots of people. I still would like to check it out first.

Kindle books are less expensive and you can get them a gift certificate to Amazon

It's a proper camera battery that has to be removed and put in the charger. So there's no rushing that.

okay waiting patiently, sort of. my camera takes regular alkaline batteries which is convenient. I can buy them anywhere. But the camera just eats them up- 4 batteries at a time.

I used to have rechargeable batteries and a charger but, neither worked very long.

I have a Kodak camera that has a rechargeable batter. I bout a spare to use when the first one needs charging.

Thanks! Good idea. I normally prefer hard copies though and also was hoping to let them borrow it and then keep them for myself but Kindle might be a good idea

Ron I am happier now that I have been chipping away at stuff and as you know, I have my garden but some days it does still get to me. However, I made a commitment and I intend to keep it.

I never use my phone for taking pictures because my camera does a better job and has more options. It is a Fujifilm and I always have fully charged batteries on standby to replace those in the camera if they die; mainly because if they die, it is going to be when you really need to take a picture!

So, I did end up getting a Valentine’s gift and I believe I have the girls at hubby’s work to thank for it. Apparently he mentioned the “Ditto” conversation and they chastised him and told him it was not on LOL

My Camera does a much better job too!

For example, at Christmas I was able to take a picture of my Oldest DD While she was at the top of a Ferris wheel!


That is not going to happen with a phone!

Mine doesn’t do too bad, I wouldn’t probably get a great face shot like that.
