Looks awesome!!

Glad you finally nailed the Steak Diane! What was the secret recipe/missing piece? And the angel food cake looks delicious!

And I love how dramatic your weather service is :lau

Here they are very robotic. X chance for x amount of rain etc. Or on the cable news sometines they're like possible record rain, heat, etc., moght break the record since x year etc., but they're not like a TV narrator/movie ad, so significant that nothing like it had ever been experienced before. The man barely survived. :p

Or

Prepare for the most epic storm you have ever imagined...

Australian Monsoon season. Coming to you March 2018...

Sorry, I'm done now lol

It doesn't translate as well online but I am picturing it in one of those epic narrator voices

:lau

Sorry.

In all seriousness, stay safe!!! That is a POOP TON of rain!! Geez!!!!

Just wait until you get an advisory like we do with wind gusts 60+!

That would be for the Sierras today!

We have winds of 70-90 here though. Low level hurricane winds. We usually have long term power outages when that happens. One part of Woodland was out of power for 5 days several winters ago

That'll be fun! I'm debating what to order because I feel like 50 is kind of a lot I don't want to order too few? But the incubator supposedly holds 49, possibly less or more, so if they included extras, which some reviews on the ones I find state people do, anywhere from 3 or 5 to like 10 extra, then they wouldn't all fit in the incubator. Maybe I could order the 40 amount or 30? They have all sorts of varying amounts. But my problem is they are similat prices so I don't want to pay almost the same for 10 or 20 etc. less eggs. Idk.

Maybe I should just start small though and order a small amount and not go crazy ordering like 50 or 100 considering I've never raised them before....

Or maybe even find a local supply of chicks first?

But I do want to get an incubator, whether for chickens or quail.

The good news about chicken though is that it holds 27 so that perfectly works for ordering 2 dozen and getting a few extras cause they usually don't include as many extras with chicken eggs I don't think.

Wow that's impressive she even made it to 12 living on the streets! And that's great you were able to extend her life by a few years and make her last few comfortable!

7 or even certainly isn't really "old" by cat standards but it's just that I've had her since she was a kitten so I can't believe it's been almost 8 years was more my sentiment. I got her around 14 weeks the pet store said but who knows. We think someone possibly returned her. She was tiny though.

But that said, even though the :hit was more just a OMG I can't believe it's been that long or that she's so old, we also lost our last cat at 8 so I'm slightly nervous.

Gator is turning 6 this month. Next week actually, on the 7th.

With him it's worse cause dogs, especially big dogs, don't usually live as long as cats.

Welcome back Blooie!
I only got 2 extra quail eggs with my 25+. But they were packed in foam so no broken ones that i know of yet. Didn't unpack them totally.

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Debby I am pleased you had a nice visit and dinner. Aaaaw, adorable pic of Opie!

BLOOIE!!! :hugs :clap

LOL Connie and Ron! :lau

For hubby’s birthday I bought him a computer which is going to be our dedicated media centre and yesterday we transferred my music collection [> 64,000 tracks, 226 Gig] off my external drive and in to the media centre so now we can all share it. I also now have more room on my drive for photos! Both my music and photos are also backed up to an additional drive in case of failure; I would hate to lose both.

Hubby said that he had a good birthday and it was topped off with the dinner and desert. Apparently, not only did I nail the Steak Diane [like his mum used to make], I nailed the Angel Food Cake too! Thank you for the recipe, tips and support! It must have been good because even FIL commented as opposed to the normal derisive grunt ;)

I should get extra credit on the Steak Diane because the gas stove ran out of gas during the cooking and I had to transfer everything downstairs and finish it off on the BBQ. Thank gawd it did not run out of gas during the baking of the Angel Food Cake :bow

I made a fresh raspberry syrup to pour over the Angel Food.

Hubby has gone back to work today [Friday] and I am hoping to get the lawns mowed. It is still very wet out there but the future forecast indicates that today is probably going to be my only chance for a while. Some weather sites are predicting a ‘significant weather event’ next week …

Prepare for a potential major record flood which is forecast to impact the area during the next 5 days. It could rival anything during the past 44 years (since the 1974 flood). It may also be so significant that nothing has ever been experienced like it in this state. Widespread rainfalls total of 200 to 400mm is likely with up to 500mm possible. [7 to 15 inches and up to 19 inches]
Please stay safe and dry!
