Chickens are a pretty easy, put out food, make sure they have water, collect eggs. They don't even have to like each other.

My washing machine will finally be fixed today.It's only been two and a half weeks without one!
And my little baby Buttons both got put back in the incubator last night because the first one, despite now having a buddy, is still yelling for humans. At least it sleeps in the incubator. I've never had one do that. Even the one that was on his own for a week quickly abandoned people in favour of his own kind! It'll be interesting to see how long that lasts. There's another egg pipped so hopefully that will hatch today.
Hope you have an awesome hatch Cap - baby quail really are the cutest, the Coturnix ones especially because they have longer down than the Buttons. And they are so calm.

For hubby’s birthday I bought him a computer which is going to be our dedicated media centre and yesterday we transferred my music collection [> 64,000 tracks, 226 Gig] off my external drive and in to the media centre so now we can all share it. I also now have more room on my drive for photos! Both my music and photos are also backed up to an additional drive in case of failure; I would hate to lose both.
Hubby said that he had a good birthday and it was topped off with the dinner and desert. Apparently, not only did I nail the Steak Diane [like his mum used to make], I nailed the Angel Food Cake too! Thank you for the recipe, tips and support! It must have been good because even FIL commented as opposed to the normal derisive grunt
I should get extra credit on the Steak Diane because the gas stove ran out of gas during the cooking and I had to transfer everything downstairs and finish it off on the BBQ. Thank gawd it did not run out of gas during the baking of the Angel Food Cake

Hubby has gone back to work today [Friday] and I am hoping to get the lawns mowed. It is still very wet out there but the future forecast indicates that today is probably going to be my only chance for a while. Some weather sites are predicting a ‘significant weather event’ next week …

Thanks.....it is so funny! I popped in to say "hi" and hit "post", then started a post over on Rachel's thread. As I was typing, my phone rang and I just got off the phone after a very nice conversation with Bruce. Didn't even finish the other post until just now!
Now, now....you all know not to worry - you've known all along that my time visiting would be kinda on-again-and-off-again! (although I'd be lying if I didn't admit that it's kinda nice to have a whole bunch of friends living inside this box of electronics who care about each other to wonder!)
