The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good Morning Friends :hugs

I confess to being a little OCD with my greets and try to make sure I have said G’Day to all; sometimes it is difficult to juggle the time to allow that, especially yesterday, so many new members! I am lucky in that I get to do them on a work day in between help desk tickets.

First thing I do is check the date but I have probably been caught before. As I read all the posts, it really does help when someone mentions “zombie thread” :clap

LOL Bruce yes, the fresh meat might be the reason :lau

Those having ‘weather issues’ stay safe!

We should be fine; the house is high set and the block slopes slightly with the chickens and ponds being on the high side.

Kelsey, at this stage we are only in the 3 inch zone which is OK, we got more than that the other day.

The ponds are not filling up with babies (yet) but I do believe I have some of both now, Guppies and Platys as there are two distinct shapes but they are are so very tiny.

Plan for today, because I got the lawns done yesterday, is pottering. I have a couple of plants to repot in larger pots; generally my kind of day :love

Ah that's not so bad then

I hope it comes back on quickly. Heard there are like 1000 guys working on power outages in VA.

Still out.

I think it went out like 7:15ish

The winds i think are 25-30 now with gusts up to 70 and I think that's high.
That IS high, getting up to the Cat 1 hurricane speeds!

True. One can always use a "tester cat". If the cat won't eat it, neither will I.

Minnesota isn’t so bad right now either.
Nor is far northern Vermont. We got maybe 1/2" of snow, no appreciable winds. Flooding in Boston near the aquarium.
