Found this earlier and have been chuckling at it all morning...

Never thought of it that way :gig

Losing a dog is like losing a family member:hit

It really is! We put our yellow Lab down in 2009 and it was so sad :hit

Today was “revelation” day. Whoopee! I have COPD and Congestive Heat Failure - gee, big surprise there, Doc! I knew that a few years ago! Good news is I don’t have “the big three”, which would be COPD, athsma and emphysema....just the one. My sister Linda had all three. So I’m getting some fancy new inhaler to do once a day in the morning (forgot what it’s called) as soon as our required mail order pharmacy gets around to filling and sending it. I have to do a home sleep study. I asked her if it mattered how much sleep I got when I did it, and she said to try for about 5 hours. Guess that’ll be an Ambien-and-a-half night! Um, she didn’t that was a good idea so she’ll have to take what she can get. I have to back up to Billings on Wednesday, pick up the monitor and learn how to do it, then drop the monitor off back up there on Thursday. Then I have to have a “low dose Cat Scan”, whatever the heck that means, to check for nodules in my lungs.

Good grief!! Think I’ll have a quick smoke and a margarita and call it good. But we didn’t have any bad weather going or coming home, and I got Famous Dave’s out of it. Silver linings! Pay me no mind...I’m just crabby and my chest hurts from the PFT - who knew breathing could leave you light headed and sore! Not doing THAT again, I don’t care what she says!

Geez, sorry blooie! :( :hugs

I think my nana has both of those conditions too and she was recently put on oxygen. At first it was just when needed but now it's 24/7. She dropped her mask the other day and her oxygen got down to 77 by the time anyone realized it! Only like 10 minutes.

Not that you'll need oxygen but it's scary.

She's in her 80s though.

And i think she has a pacemaker

Aaaw gees Blooie that does sound tiring :hugs

When I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease they did a double whammy angiogram through the groin and the wrist but while doing that they also did a test which I do not know the name of where they actually put the heart under stress or do something that I believe kind of simulates a heart attack?? Anyways, I did not know they were going to do that until they already had me on the table and hooked up but I can tell you, I am not doing THAT again! Worse feeling ever! Couldn't breath and felt like I was going to pass out etc :sick Scary stuff!

Ah, yes....the good old Nuclear Stress Test! Had a few of those and love them about as much as you do! :he

Thank You! I did not know what it was or that I was going to have one until they had me trapped but yeah, I'll pass on another one of those thank you .. lets not and say we did :p

Wow scary!!!

Yikes, that does sound scary! Hope you get enough sleep for your sleep study Blooie.

For all you cat lovers I just thought you'd like this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/my-bengal-cats.1231123/#post-19753351

Gorgeous felines!

Gorgeous cats! I love bengals!

Morning all :frow Happy birthday early KD.

Thanks!

Good Morning.

Pine trees have fairly shallow roots especially for the height of the older ones. Around here after heavy rains, followed by high winds...many just topple over pulling the root ball out with them. For decades we have had pine beetle issues killing the older pine trees - so sad. Hope y'all do remove the ones that endanger your home and coop.

Debby,
But, you have TWO weeks - enjoy every minute :) And Sunday and Mondays off, that is so much better than your past work schedule.

Happy Birthday, hope Saturday is a great, fun day!

Oh my, I only tried bathing one cat in the past - got it done, but was afraid I would need stitches ;) .....but Buddy does wash his head when he drinks from the sinks, leaving him a spike hairdo :lau

The sleep labs around here give Ambien for anyone who cannot sleep with the masks. Good luck, hope your test is negative :fl

Mine started last night at 8 pm - off til monday :bun

I didn't realize the roots were shallow! But yeah, the beetle thing is sad :( and i hope so too. 33 trees for $7300 I think it was or maybe minus $100 or $200. And he said he'd do a whole lot in the front, an acre, for $3300 I think it was. Probably cheaper I guess cause they don't have to control the falls??

Thank you!!!

LOL omg hilarious!!

If it is private property I'm not sure I would be making noise about the tree.

Yep, looks REAL unhappy.

I love it too, and facing opposite directions even. Must have been quite the flow to leave that much rock across the road.

Sounds like another story for a book.

I guess that would depend on what they are looking for!

DH. blame DH!

Well, not private in the sense an individual owns it. The pond is owned by the people that own the development. And we are inside said condo/townhome development but not a part if that makes sense. Set back in the woods. We're the last house they left. I think they should remove it. A lot of people walk there and they own it.

Yuppp!! She wasn't too pleased with me lol but she seems to have forgiven me and her fur is SO soft today haha

Tree removal is neither cheap or easy. <sigh> Our house is surrounded by big, BIG trees. I can't even convey how big around these behemoths are!! Photos don't even show it! The cheapest estimate we got was $1100.00 per tree - um, we have 6 of them. So they are still here. Temperature drops about 10 degrees when we get out of our cars, open the gate, and step into the yard in summer, though. Otherwise this old mobile home would be like living in a pop can in a Walmart parking lot!
