It is harder for you gypsies without documented housing to get documents of that nature. Interesting they required the birth certificate, marriage, divorce papers and such. Though I guess now they need all that stuff to meet "REAL ID" requirements.
Imagine if you looked "different"Exactly! And that's why I tell every female I know that's getting married to keep their name...don't change it!
The 3rd time I tried, I fussed at the DMV gal that it was easier to get my new social security card than it was getting my DL.
She folded her arms, looked me straight in the eye and said, "The government counts on us to keep America safe".
It was all I could do to get out of there without spouting off a fewShe was lucky (or I was) that things didn't get ugly

Good Point!Probably you were, they would flag you and make your life even rougher the next time you came in. Good for 4 years now, right? And after that, if it is like VT, you only have to pay your "we allow you to drive" tax.
How do you know she DOESN'T look "different" Ron??

I GOT IT!!!! Four tries and 2 years after moving to WY, I got my DL!
The issue was getting alllllll the paperwork lined up. Birth certificate, divorce papers & marriage certificate (due to name change), proof of physical address (nothing gets delivered here, absolutely nothing like a utility bill, mortgage payment, or bank statements to prove we actually live where we do), old driver's license from FL, an application, social security card, car registration, etc. This time I even had my voter's registration just in case. No written test required, just had to take an eye exam.
Now I'm good to go! And all I'll need to renew in several years is the DL I got today.

Different from the DMV workers! or should I say a different ethnic make up for the make up of Wyoming.I think that's right about the 4 years. To tell you the truth, I ran out of there as fast as possible before they changed their minds!
@ronott1 what does "different" look like?

Thanks (I think, lol). Actually, I've been driving this whole time as my FL license was still valid.
