The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning everyone :frow

Sad news today!:hitWhile away at work last night, a snake got into 1 of my quail pens. Wasn't big enough to eat any but certainly big enough to kill them.... I guess it just kept killing them to try and find one it could eat? Sorry, if this is graphic but their heads and a part of their breasts were partially disolved! Slime coated feathers.
Got into the pen by going through the opening of the corrugated metal at the edge of the roof. Left the same way. Well, now I got to seal the roof better before I put anything else in the pen.
I’m sorry for your loss!
This is what George warned me about this morning when out checking on my birds. View attachment 1397502may be a day old! It was by one of my pens.
So cute!
@Teila, actually the breeder’s name is Cari. We brought the pup home and named her Fiona. Cari said she was very “laid back” - I didn’t realize that meant practically comatose! She’s gonna be a big girl, and pretty lazy! View attachment 1397629 View attachment 1397630 View attachment 1397631 All the photos are of her except the one of Ken with Fiona’s mother, Dixie.
Love that name!

And too lazy to bother Kendra, which is such a plus! The girls met her tonight. She greeted them politely and then laid back down. Even Kendra flapping didn’t bother her. Keeper!!

Oh, that fawn!! :love

Teila, think about it....would you really want to be an IT person for that outfit? :he

Beautiful egg, Cap!

Debby, you’re either chasing food vendors down or chasing chickens! Slow down, girl!

Awww that's awesome Blooie!! She seems like a great dog and also maybe like they did train her well so far?

But DD, I don't know about that lol Gator is about the laziest thing, sleeps all day and you have to practically drag him outside lol BUT still does all that lol but I think part of it is boredom and/or not enough exercise? But he doesn't want much either and lays down when he's done. But also when he was young he wasn't that lazy and was a terror till about 2 or 3 so I suppose being that calm that young is good. But even then he wasn't that bad, just full of energy and didn't listen.

All training though I suppose. For example, he LOVES my brother and my dad but especially my brother. If they're outside, he has to be or he freaks.

He also barks a lot but he's half Great Pyrenees and I think going deaf.

He doesn't really destroy the house but likes to steal TP and the recycling. Better now that he's older but still occasionally gets bored. Chews help. Lab half has to have something in the mouth. Loves pillows lol he holds them between his paws.

I don't think he's ever knocked anyone over but he used to jump up and also play rough (brothers encouraged the rough, crazy play). He also does this thing where he runs full speed and slams into you or almost does cause he doesn't hit the breaks in time lol my brother's puppy does it too so I think it's a Pyrenees thing. She's Pyrenees, Lab, Boxer, and another unidentified breed according to the DNA test.

Overall though, he's the best and has been very chill and good and nowhere the energy of a Lab. Also very intelligent.

But he does bark but that's a breed trait I'm thinking.
