Hubby had a huge snapper in the field today and it is not by a river...there is a county ditch that runs by it though that is always full of water.

Turtles are my favorite animals because they know they won’t get anywhere unless they stick their necks out!

I saw a huge snapper in a parking lot once. The thing was like a dinosaur lol I'll have to see if I can find the pictures. But the parking lot backs up to a bird preserve/marsh so lots of water

KDOGG, snapping turtles are dinosaurs...just like alligators and crocodiles.

I've always liked turtles, I think it's because they aren't going to leap up and tear your throat out.

I feel sorry for the poor turtle walking over wire- that must hurt his little feet. Hope he won't get bumblefoot.
