KDOGG, snapping turtles are dinosaurs...just like alligators and crocodiles.

LOL true!! And apparently chickens are dinosaurs too haha

I've always liked turtles, I think it's because they aren't going to leap up and tear your throat out.

Yeah, sometimes peeps that go "noodling" get their fingers bitten off by snapping turtles. not really funny but anyone crazy enough to stick their hands and arms into a hole below the waterline, deserve what they get! (never go into the water, again!) was my motto for a long time after my catfish adventure.

I feel sorry for the poor turtle walking over wire- that must hurt his little feet. Hope he won't get bumblefoot.

I only put it there for a minute to get a picture. It is back wandering the woods.

Wow, that sounds dangerous! Couldn't you but a stick in the hole first? Or catch the fish with a spear or something?
