The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I'm not a builder by any means (I'll let you handle that stuff Cap, you're good at it).

BUT, I do think I could build this. And I could really use my own fort.

Such a fun idea! Too bad my guys are too old to have this kind of fun.
That is a neat idea!
Folks, I might be taking a page out of @Teila 's book.... If things work out I'll be making 3X the salary working from home... And I'll have more BYC time...

Just how bad ARE the curtains. Because you know the odds of someone replacing the curtains after they buy the house are probably near 100%

I've had my hand reared finches, bourkes and cockatiels all leave their fair share of 'deposits' on them, and they were cheap ones that can't be washed to begin with, so they do need to be changed. They are really dark brown as well so I'm replacing them with light grey which will look so much nicer.

I was wrestling with sodden clay today - our son has pushed some down the bank up against the water tanks so I spent forever removing the majority of it. Clay is so awful to try and work with. It was too slippery to try and find somewhere secure to put my feet while I dug (I ended up using my hands at one point but then I was worried about squishing the few brave worms that were trying to make a home for themselves in the awful clay), and the more I dug the more it stuck to my spade, and my boots, and my hands, and my clothes. Then the sand flies turned up and started munching on me!

@N F C I'll have to show hubby that fort idea - it's fantastic! The kids would love having something like that to build with.

Good morning :frow

@JaeG that sounds like some rough, nasty work with the clay. Hope all your hard work pays off with a quick house sale!

Keeping my fingers crossed all works out well for you Bob! :fl
