The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Diva - again, I feel your pain. I was in a terrible accident. Knocked my front teeth out and cracked or broke all the rest.
I went with implants $$$$ I think I'm still paying for them :lau not to mention all the pain.
My stepfather had full dentures when my mother met him. I originally thought it likely had something to do with his years in the 101st during WWII. Nope, bad car accident sometime later. He decided to have the remaining ones pulled rather than try to have major reconstruction.

Dentist doesn't have spit sink (like the good old days) , assistant brought me two tiny cups, one to rinse and the other to spit into
 Mine doesn't either, they have suction tubes instead. Way better than a sink or cup to spit into.

We went Plymouth Plantation today. Also might have some salad from my garden tonight too as I think the spinach is ready or at least needs to be thinned so baby spinach is fine lol

One of my tomatoes is huge but hasn't flowered yet and idk why. This is one of my 4 potted ones. The other 3 all have flowers, especially 2 of them which happen to both be the same variety.

Morning everyone :frow

Must be lot of "bad" dentist's out there! I have also had a root canal done without anesthesia! I'll will make you catch a rabbit! :gig

DMC - cute kitty

Ron - bet your dentist has interesting family reunions!

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
That must have been an awful accident
Back from dentist. Wouldn't have been bad at all except he loaded me up the kazoo with
novacain especially above front teeth- which made my nose numb. Awful feeling especially with all kinds of other junk in the mouth, was afraid I wouldn't be able to breathe.

They know I don't take novacain except for extractions. I only had one root canal many years ago and the dentist told me the nerve was dead, so I didn't need any. Dentists just do it out of habit. Ugh. takes so long to wear off I hate it.

The worst part was- dentist wanted me turned on a sharp angle so I was facing him from the chair. I kept getting sprayed with water, and it all ran down the side of my neck. I told him I thought he was waterboarding me. That little bit over 2 hours, drove me bonkers.

Many more impressions done. Dentist doesn't have spit sink (like the good old days) , assistant brought me two tiny cups, one to rinse and the other to spit into. That didn't go well - with the numb mouth, spit missed the cup. Icky. I'm sure I got bad marks for that.
Glad it’s over with!
A good dentist can reduce the amount of numbing medicine and give it time to work if you request it. They prefer to use way too much so less waiting involved.
Good to know!

I finally have a decent photo to share. We've been having awful weather - windy and freezing cold, with rain and hail for good measure. So I haven't disturbed them too much but today it's clear and still (though it was a very chilly start to the day).

Baby Winter is starting to grow pin feathers but is still a little scruff. Dilly wasn't too happy with me looking at their baby but when their bite feels like no more than someone holding your finger gently it's easy to see why doves can't defend themselves well in a mixed aviary, and why they can make such wonderful pets.

I don't like all this dentist talk. I really need to go but we plain can't afford it at the moment. I've got very good at eating on one side of my mouth as I have a very cold sensitive tooth. It was filled last time I went but it feels like a piece has chipped off or something.

I spent yesterday hanging lovely new curtains. They are a soft grey and they look so much prettier than the old dark ones. It makes the room feel much calmer and much more relaxed.

I miss the spit sink. Those suction machines are scary.

We are supposed to have a heat index of 104°F (40°C), you can send us a bit of that freezing cold weather and we'll send you some of our heat.
That's awful! I can't imagine heat like that, especially where you are. The humidity would kill me. I'm having a hard enough time dealing with 28C.
