That looks AWESOME Debby!! It's those little touches that can soften things and make the house look so welcoming! I didn't even know you were planning to sod - you probably mentioned it, but I must have missed it. A tree break will be most welcome sitting in the open as you are there. It'll probably take a day or two to for them to get big enough to serve as an effective wind break, but any time now......
Fee is fine. I think she just ate something outside....like a tree or a cement truck or something. Was gonna keep her out all night, but at some point during the night one of us got up and let her in. I don't remember doing it and Ken doesn't remember doing it either. We wanted the carpet to dry overnight and be vacuumed first. But I got up this morning, went out to check on her, and no Fiona. Anywhere. Looked everyplace I could think of, even in the chicken run. I panicked and went in and woke Ken. He looked everywhere. No sign, no whimper, no nothing! So he came back in to get his clothes on and jump in the car to search (he had his jammie bottoms and t-shirt on when he went outside) and he sat in the recliner to put his socks on. The recliner pushed back. Looked behind it and there she was. Don't even KNOW how she got inside, let alone behind there in that small space. But there she was, tucked back in that tiny corner! Just smiling at us and wagging her tail. I've never wished for a barking dog in my life, but this morning I wished she'd have barked. Nope. Had her since May and have yet to hear one. This dog is gonna be the end of me, I swear!
Sean, I'm sorry that you feel so bad about Layla. She was ready to move on and most likely would have done so whether you were laid up or not.
