The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

This stuff is one of the reasons for my rant the other night. Something like this gets posted. It gets a lot of “likes” and in many cases (certainly not in all) the poster has pretty good numbers on his/her profile. Therefore the information contained “must be accurate” and it gets repeated as if it were pure gold for advice. <sigh>
What, you expect people to give such advice the "smell test" before they follow and also repost it all over the place?

Apparently you can’t just get them for the front teeth, you have to have the whole set:th
I think they have to anchor to the back teeth.

Blooie maybe I don't see things clearly BUT, you raised your grand children, you are the wife of a Mason and so many other things for other people. But, I wonder if you have ever gotten to be "Blooie." You know time to be YOU with no obligation. :hugs

There was a song I liked in the early '80's I think. It was called "I've Never Been to Me."
It's about all the things the singer has been in her life - for others. But, she's "never been to me", doing things for her self.

But, but...all of this IS me - it's hard sometimes and I get tired, but then I look at Little Diane, owning her own home and a small business at 23; Jamie, trained as a nuclear reactor operator, honorable stint in the US Navy, beautiful wife and two great kids, now an electrical technician at FERMI Labs working on a nuclear particle accelerator; Katie, blowing the Autism handbooks out of the water, performing solos in music competitions, always helping others; and Kendra, sweet Kendra, all smiles, grit and determination, and I know that I like me better because of them. I love that it's like looking into a little mirror and seeing me reflected back - stubbornness here, curiosity there, compassion and grit everywhere.....Old MacDonald had a farm----ooops, I digress. So what if that elusive "real me" is out there, I meet her, and I don't like her very much?

I got my deep clean on half my teeth yesterday. It went well other then the Novocain. Apparently I had a reaction to the epinephrine as I started shaking and my heart started racing. It only lasted a few minutes but that was long enough. The next half she will use another kind. Monday I start the process to get braces... never thought I’d do something like that but my front teeth started shifting about 9 years ago and it bothers me. They used to be perfectly straight naturally. Apparently you can’t just get them for the front teeth, you have to have the whole set:th

I just take mine out, put 'em in a jar, and when I wake up they are nice and straight. :idunno

And a good morning (or owning per DMC) to all!

DMC, sorry about having to get braces but seems I see them on more & more people all the time. I sometimes think everyone has perfectly straight teeth except me.

Back to work for me today. But first, have to get a dessert made up for tomorrow's luncheon. Just can't get it done at work...too many distractions and some of the stuff I need is here. So as soon as the coffee kicks in, I'm off to putter in my kitchen then go to work.

Hummingbird cake? You gonna make hummingbird cake? Blooie and Ken LOVE hummingbird cake........

huh, safety hole? whats that, since i missed this, where can i read these?
Over in the hatching forum. I do not know where it came from as a normal part of incubation. It is way down on the list of things to do at the end of incubation.

Teeth are very important! It should be part of health insurance since heart disease and some other illnesses are related to dental issues

Our student assistant graduated this year and her last day is Thursday. I made a rum bunt cake this year and it was her favorite cake ever! I get to make it tomorrow for Thursday. I get requests for baked goods here LOL!
