The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

No, but the LLWS is a true piece of 'Americana'. The atmosphere there is upbeat and positive. This will be our 4th trip there, and I have yet to see anyone acting in any way other than respectful to one another. A 100 % volunteer event that is well worth attending.

That sounds great Sour, well worth the trip to see a sporting event the way it should be.

Lots of memories. Very first time we went as we were walking up to the facility the Japanese team was leaving the batting cages. As each and every kid crossed in front of us they bowed and said, "Thank You". I told the Princess, "I think I'm going to like this place." Then there was the year an African team made it to Williamsport. They had no baseball shoes - they were accustomed to playing barefoot. Everyone chipped in and bought them shoes. They never won a game, but were applauded every time they entered the field. The rapport between the kids who are competitors is amazing. It's sometimes difficult to pry me out of my comfortable rut, but this is something that I look forward to.
