The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I think it was Ron that had mentioned the possibility of Candida a while ago? Well I just got a newsletter email and guess what was one of the articles?

It has scared me again and I am thinking of trying the cleanse and diet that they mention.

But of course the notion of giving up sweets forever is daunting :(

Thinking of trying these too, it mentioned them

I would focus on the diet. Eating sugar is the biggest culprit.

And excessive carbohydrates add to the problem. I suffered from chronic heartburn/acid reflux. Since I have gone low carb in my diet , I no longer have that problem. :fl The weight loss and lowered BP is another plus.

It is usually feeding your good bacteria with bad thins like too much simple carbs.

Real whole grains can help but not to much--It helps because of the fiber.

Using the carb balancing technique can help too

I eat lots of sandwiches and stuff so I think that's probably part of it.

This month has had tons of junk food. Cookies (including Oreos and Milanos), chips (potato, tortilla, pita), pretzels, ice cream, sandwiches, etc. :(
