The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

The Versed i got yesterday to put me out has me feeling energetic. And i am taking the pain pills on schedule, drinking lots of fluids. And i did my chores already today! Weather is low 60s and sunny. Great day!
Versed? What pain pills did you get?

Hi Sharron! Are you looking forward to making your annual trip down south for the winter?
yes ma'am i sure am, wish we could pack up and leave tomorrow but we both have one more dr visit to go to before we can leave, but for sure the following day :lau

Ok, so I'm clicking on various online shopping links and find these:

Waterproof Casual Winter Backless Boots

I don't get it. Why are they waterproof if they don't have a back? Won't your feet get wet if the back part of your foot is uncovered? And what good are they for keeping feet warm in winter?

:idunno This makes no sense to me.
i have a pair of shoes that are backless, my feet don't get wet unless i step in a mud puddle(deep) but to be honest, have no idea why they call these "boots", don't boots go past the ankles?

It is sore, especially the incision in my hairline. The eyes aren't bad at all. I am sure i will love the results. I am putting cold salt water gauze on my incisions to control swelling. Antibiotic opthalmic ointment on eye lids and eyeballs, regular antibiotic ointment on scalp incision, oral antibiotics and taking pain pills. No heavy lifting until after the recheck on the 25th. Trying to behave.
hoping you soon have no pain:hugs

I wouldn't call that a boot, more like crocks and also wouldn't call that backless, it has a back, just small. :idunno
The boots I wear come up to my knees.

Rosellas? I love those! What type are they? My hand is back to normal, thanks. Lip still swollen.

You take it easy. :hugs

They are Eastern Rosellas which have naturalised here but they aren't in great enough numbers to be considered a pest (unlike Rainbow Lorikeets which they had to eradicate). We have a small flock round where we are at the moment and I love hearing and seeing them. Occasionally they come and feed on our back lawn.
(not a great photo because I had to take it from inside as they are shy but here's two of our resident birds):

I was thinking how much I was going to miss them. So seeing all those birds had me sold (plus the property smelt like Christmas because of all the recently chopped down pines). We're going up again tomorrow unless there is some disaster at DH's work. Fingers crossed!
