i think so, at least from what i've readGood idea. Didn't think of hiring one beforehand. I need to reasearch more about this because I think if you won you would need a lawyer, asset manager, and something else right?

I use used paper towls poked into a toilet roll... splashed with a little rancid oil... Burns hot and gets the kindling going...Birch bark is awesome. If I don't have any of that, it's sticks & paper for me.
I use Eucalyptus when I can get it. But usually Red Shank... Its a shrub with very hard wood... cant tell if its dry. but you can go through the Chaparal with a baseball bat whaking the Red shank to harvest it.... Good for the chaparal all you have to do is bring along a wagon.Yep, use to burn Ash, the best I think because it burns green or dried. Leaves little ashes to remove. Boise de ark (pronounced Bowdark) was great too, for a wood stove but not a fire place...to many sparks, it has a high BTU value. Oak was the worse IMHO.
Take a really good look at your prospective land there may be several places to put a house... and or out buildings for livestock. Do you get snow? is there a stream bed? That's interesting that they taste better. Might make me brave enough to try! I couldn't do it myself but there are quite a few 'homekill' places to choose from who will do it all for you.
Not yet but we've just seen a 10 acre property on Thursday we really like. We are going back up tomorrow to take another look and make sure we can fit a house on the highest point that has beautiful rural views. I've found a transportable house I really like the floor plan of. It would be built new so it could be May/June before its ready but after spending 6 years doing this place up I'm ready for it all just to be done.
