The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Holy crap!
Hmmm... I just found a site where I can buy tickets for any lottery in the world... tempting, but i don't know if I trust it.

Yeah, that sounds a little sketchy lol

Maybe you could drive to the states? :lau

Good morning everyone.

I've been to every state except for Alaska and Hawaii. My 2 favourites are Wyoming and New Mexico. Eastern California (Tahoe, Truckee) is gorgeous. I absolutely loved living in Washington state but I had horrific sinus problems living there. Northern Idaho is incredible too.
thank you...

You can just send cash to one of your USA friends (don't forget the exchange rate ;)) they could buy you a ticket.

And I could never live in L.A. I see posts about the traffic all the time and it sounds/looks awful. And only getting worse. Traffic has been getting worse here too. More people moving to both cities I guess.
No worse than driving in Boston. Of course that isn't saying anything good.

I found this sewing machine table for sale, want to go buy it.

Yes, it has the machine in it. Waiting for a picture of it. I am determined to go get it.
Go, GO!!!! That case is really nice looking

Funny how you all say you wouldn't want to visit California
I'll be visiting at the end of November, but then I am a special case with regard to "East coasters" ;)

Eh, supposedly it's a lot worse and you get stuck for hours. Well, you do in Boston too but according to some people who live there, it used to only be really bad at like certain "peak" times whereas now it's just bad all the time and going anywhere takes hours and I don't think they have good public transportation there either which makes it worse. Too many people moving there in recent years. And there really has been a big surge in the last few years, I've seen it myself, tons of friends and musicians moving there in the last like 5-6 years and YouTubers, etc. And people still moving there every day.

Every place that has tourism as part of their economy has horrible traffic.
New York city
San Diego
Los Angeles
San Francisco
San Antonio
Chicago
You name it... But that traffic is seasonal.... somewhat. Eastern cities have old infrastructure. Historic roads meant for Tin Lizzies or horse drawn vehicles. I am sure some have been placed on historic lists. I would love to visit but cant walk the tours... But living there is out of the question for me.

I am most comfortable in the desert... I understand it the seasonal changes. I have only driven on snow a handful of times... Ice only once.... scared the crap outa me.

I grew up driving in snow and ice...and it always scared the crap out of me! Never got used to it.

Now I live in WY and if the weather gets too bad, I just stay home (that's a real luxury, one I didn't have in KS).
