The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It's a nice quiet morning here, that wind finally died down. Guess the upcoming chance of snow is replacing it (at least that quiet).
its quite here too, just wet,as usual and a little to chilly for me, just threw wilbur out, i'm sure hes ready to come back in since its chilly but he needs to run around a little:wee

I've been through several that I didn't even feel. A couple that I did. Oddly enough, I found them quite thrilling.
We had one that hit about a half hour from us growing up in Danvers. I was 6. We only felt the tremors. I was out in the shop with my dad, very weird feeling.
On the subject of low life's - just saw on the news that a small rural school had got a beehive for the kids so they could learn about bees and produce their own honey. Some horrible individual has stolen it! Who steals from little kids!?
I hope they got stung!
Morning Bob :frow

I think we're all lined up to give Blooie's neighbor a :smack but there's no fixing stupid.
Well said!
Morning.... I got woke up by the dog again... this time having an anxiety attack in her sleep... I had to wake her up....

Poor girl... I am surprised she isnt more damaged than she is.... But we love her unconditionally with her quirks and all.

for those who dont know we adopted her from the pound... She came along with a folder about an inch thick containing medical files. She was surrendered because she had been almost killed by another dog. The vets didnt think she was going to live... many surgeries to close her wounds and battle infections....

Here is our girl now....

She was a bit thin when she moved in with us but now shes her proper 65 pounds and full of vinegar. Her paper work says shes a Swiss Mountain Dog Cross. Very protective of us and the little back yard here. But terribly afraid of many things Bigger dogs, The car, loud noises....

She Loves her walks ...

deb
She’s beautiful!
After 3 more phone calls, 2 emails and another document e-signed, looks like we are (maybe, hopefully, pretty sure) ready to go with the house closing this coming Friday!

Things are getting real now :gig
Awesome!
I wish I knew what I did with the "Wyoming Wind Sock" that's an actual single engine, bright yellow aircraft mounted on a pole by Interstate 25. It's near Sundance, if I remember right, or between Sundance and Gillette. It actually works, too. I have a shot of it, I just can't find it.
Is it on the way to Devil’s tower? I thought I saw a yellow plane.
Where I grew up in KS the population was around 130,000. Never did care for that many people in one place and always wanted to live in a small town.

The dot in the road where our mail goes now has about 400 in it. Casper seems kind of big to me now, but we won't be there forever. Oh course, my mom laughed at me for thinking Casper was too big but then she lived in Denver forever (that's now around 3 million).

Guess it's mostly whatever you're used to.
Our town is about 1200 people. Big enough for me.
That's 'cause you live in podunk, not a big population state like Vermont with 626,042.

I could go get that one I tossed out the door last night after DD1's cat got it. Of course I suspect it will lose it's cuteness pretty fast since it was dead.
I’m not sure who caught this one as they were both pretty intent on it. My guess is the cat.
