The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I am going to make one for each grandkid. And one for me.

Make them some Softees! My kids and grandkids, especially the little ones, love them. When Kendra was born, she had all the stitches in her back from them closing the huge hole in her back. She usually slept on her tummy, on advice from her surgeon, but the general consensus was that babies should sleep on their backs. So we let her sleep that way from time to time, and lay on her back to look around and kick. Enter the Softee!! It’s just that super thick yarn that’s like chenille, and the pattern is a simple knit one row, purl the next until it’s the size you want. Really fast to make. Bonus, it’s super warm for putting over them in their car seats! Here’s Kendra’s. She still snuggles in it when she’s here!
