The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Looks like you two were the only ones brave enough to be out there.

Not brave enough- stoopid enough!!! I’ll check in when we’re home. Ken’s in his meeting so don’t know what time we’ll start back. Still spitting snow here in Sheridan, and going up on this side isn’t much different than going up on the other side.

I tried one last time to persuade him to wait, but as of now we are heading for hwy 14 on the Big Horns. <sigh>. I did tell him that if this trip ends up going south on us, the last words he’s gonna hear on this earth are “You stoopid SOB - I TOLD you this was a dumb idea!” I rarely get mad at Ken....I think I’ve found the exception.

:hugs

Blooie you are a LOT like my DW. She's been keeping me straight for nearly 40 years. It's rare that we disagree or I deviate from desired approach. But I do occasionally knowing that the "I told you so" reference is just around the corner.

Going on 55 years here, and today I stumbled into one of those "I told you so scenarios". She was gracious enough to not rub it in.

Better not be standing under that barn roof when it all lets loose!

Just a bit of yesterday as we started up the mountain. It got worse as we went. As we expected, Granite Pass, at just over 9000 feet, was horrible. It’s pretty open right there so it drifts in something terrible!
"Any word but "slide". OK, how about "skid"?
"Ooh, did you feel that?"
I SURE AS HECK HEARD IT, TIRE SLIPPING!!!!!

Don't get to keep an Elk you hit? Blooie - SSS
Strike, Shovel (into the vehicle) Shut up!

OK, I honestly tensed up "driving" that road with you.

Looks like you two were the only ones brave enough to be out there.
Wrong word there, Pert!

Not brave enough- stoopid enough!!! I’ll check in when we’re home.
I've been BLOOIED!

:fl :hugs I hope the road back is better.

Long ago, I used to buy, I think it was branded Maple Farms, could be wrong. Half duckling just needed to be heated up and came with an orange sauce. I loved that like crazy. Of course that was way before I saw the adorable ducky faces & eyes on BYC.

I do think when I'm hungry enough(like always) I could/would still eat them and just not think about it. I think it was priced somewhere like $ 3.12 or something. I said it was long ago.

I still see the duckling same brand in the store but, you have to cook it yourself and it costs too much now for me to screw up. I nagged my son to get duck in a restaurant and he hated it (it did cost plenty). I could see it was overcooked???? It was stiff as a board and he could barely cut into it.
You might find some good duck in a Vietnamese restaurant.
