The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It takes someone social to deal with people like what you'd get at a B&B. I'm not cut out for that.

When DH & I had our little shop, it was exhausting dealing with the public 7 days a week. The friendly customers that wanted to spend an hour shooting the breeze were the worst. I always wanted to tell them to buy something or leave, I had a ton of work I couldn't do when they were just there hanging around (we didn't have employees, just me and sometimes DH). And don't get me started on the ones that would spend 90 minutes trying to decide which 25 cent post card they wanted to buy...and then would leave empty-handed. But I'd have to stand there to be sure no one stole anything.

Ugh! Put me in a back room somewhere by myself and I'm good :p

Have you done a DNA test ? Did I show up as a long lost brother, father, grandfather ?

i'm back, computer went down:frow

We used to have Velve not sure how he spelled it - from Finland, Kdogg. He was always talking about Finland. You've been a member for so long - maybe you remember him.
Believe he started his own thread called the "Cold Folks home." If I am giving credit to the wrong person- someone please tell me and I will apologize.
i remember him, he wrote out a couple of recipes for me

:gig That would be an honor Sour :D

Maybe not (although there is the Scots link) but you know, as one very wise person said:
Friends are the family you make for yourself.

we used 501 units totalling $98.40
That is a FAR cry from $1,200 a month!

My power bill is $0.
Unless you count the gas I have to buy for the generator this time of year to keep the batteries charged.
Yeah that counts. And the prorated cost of the solar array and batteries ;)

Veve is right.... he and his wife/girlfriend split up and he moved on.

Try house hunting on your own. with less than 100 k purchasing power in a median price of 400 K... And wanting LAND.

That’s too bad. :(

And that is my exact problem right now except I was looking in wayyy cheaper areas like Kentucky. There were pretty decent houses and land for fairly cheap there. But now I am looking for apartments instead of houses.
