You guys had some deprived childhoods! As far as I was concerned, that treasure chest was the ONLY reason to go to the dentist :lol:

who's talking about childhood? after a dentist pulled a jaw tooth without Novocaine when i was a child, no way could momma get me into the car again to go to the dentist, she always threaten to make daddy take me,( i was to scared of him to argue with him, or run and hide) but no one took me to a dentist til i was 17 and broke a tooth, dentist used to give me a pill to take before the appt to calm me down
yep, to this day i hate to go to the dentist

Pulling a tooth without Novocaine seems pretty barbaric! I don't blame you for not wanting to ever go back.

When I was at my ortho appointment on Monday he had to take a bracket off and reposition it. I asked him if my tooth come with it. Holy crap that hurt! I get to go through that with 30 teeth when they take these braces off. No pain no gain I guess.

at the time i was losing baby teeth and this molar was loose but not that loose but he thought it was the thing to do since i would have pitched a fit to see him pull out a needle
