We had crazy winds here late yesterday afternoon (at least we didn't get the hail that had been predicted). Knocked our power out from 3:30pm-8:30pm. You just don't realize how much you appreciate that until it's out.

i did until the sun got up good and the bugs came out after me but in the meantime i got the peas picked, husband came out and put me a garden bench out so i could sit to pick, so nice instead of having to bend when the backs hurting, thinned the beets and brought them in, the beet greens are cooking now, i'm shelling the peas to freeze, all before 8:30
it drives me crazy when the electric is off, you think, well i'll do this and then realize you can't but thank goodness that doesn't happen too often here
husband bought two little piggys a couple of weeks ago, trying to tame them down(he is)
they're kunekunes, small homestead pasture pigs, we're going to try to raise our own pigs, that is if i can handle having them butchered
