The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Mornin... I am beginning to wonder if this pain isnt kidney stones..... it put me down last night.

deb waiting for the tylenol to work.
:frow deb, Gosh, I hope not...they are so painful.

Too bad about the chicks, :hugs I hate coons. Every year about this time when I move the chicks out to the outdoor brooders...the coons magically show up...I too have to set traps.
its about that time here too, these two little hens were the only two i kept out of 12, i really liked their color, i love the color of mille fleur in the bantam cochins and thats what they were, were coming along nicely , oh well, wasn't meant to be i guess but really makes me angry, the wild animal have all the wild to catch their food and they come here and eat my chickens and garden, when its a rabbit, we invite it to supper, but coons, possums and groundhogs just get put down and out into the garbage if close enough to pickup day, otherwise they get buried back in the woods.

Here, my line of thinking is the buzzards got to eat too! so they just get thrown out in the back part of my property. The 3 'S' principal applies here...shoot, shovel, shut up! ;)

:thumbsup here too many, many years ago i used to take them away, sometimes as far as twenty miles away(daddy always said, if you ain't going to eat it, don't kill it unless poisonous) but one day talking to a friend, he told me that given time, it would make its way back, might take 6 or 7 months, but he had it happen with a coon, he took to marking them with paint and sure enough one came back, for the last time, now i just have husband or son kill them

You don't hear about SSS much nowadays. When I first joined it seemed like every post mentioned it. When I got used to using that expression, everyone else seemed to have stopped. Bad timing.
i forgot the sss myself but still do it, also forgot crs for awhile:lol:

Flowers are finally starting to look nice. Rain is so much better for them then having to water them myself. My peas are beautiful, can’t wait to eat them.
