Good morning folks

DMC hang in there. First time is the hardest, but it get's easier.

Michelle, how's it going? We need an update on the house... And you've had way too much rain...

Yeah we have. Luckily there were a few days dry enough that a large part of my hay was cut and baled as green feed. I have no idea how they managed to get the tractor through some of the areas that they did. Water was up over my ankles. Needless to say, the mosquitoes are unbelievably bad this year.

I spent over 8 hours berry picking. The weather has been so bad I only managed to get about a cup and a half of raspberries and about 3 or 4 cups of Saskatoons. Not even enough to bake a pie.

Finally got a few pieces of furniture into the house. It was so amazing to sleep in a real bed for the first time in over two years. I've had to hire some guys to come in and fix some of the things that the first guy did. The range hood was lowered to the correct height and all of the weird wooden boxes were removed. We moved the stove over and took the left side cabinet and moved it to the right, hence discovering that they were not built the same height or level. Lots of shimming and adjusting to get them evened up. Next project is getting quarter round in. Then the trim can get painted and we can move the rest of the furniture (that will fit) in.
