Meg, hope your day is wonderful and you have fun!

Love my urologist. Been seeing him for over 19 years. My GP made my appointment with him because turned up to have some hidden blood in urine. Urologist said I either had, a leaking(or leaky?? kidney) or bladder cancer. That can ruin your day in a hurry. I've had every test he can order for me and so far KNOCK ON WOOD, seems to be okay.

Last year's test showed I had a cyst on left kidney. This year's visit, dr. talked to me at great length and was explaining about that. He wasn't concerned.

So I started telling him about BYC. He said where he lives almost everyone is raising chickens- he gets all the free eggs his family can handle.I told him he should just lurk and see what BYC is about. But, he said he doesn't join any websites and lives where he does to have solitude.??????
I have blood in my urine all the time. Did he mention interstitial cystitis? So, tests aren't showing cancer, right?

Well, spoke too soon about Richard. His UTI isn't gone. Called the doc..he's putting him on something he's never been on. Guess it's about time. Bactrim has worked for years. I worried about it stopping working. He's putting him on, Cefdinir/Lupin..a mix of two Richard said. Man, he needs something that works, he gets these infections often. Few times a year.

Sorry about Richard's recurring infections Cynthia...fingers crossed the new Rx works well for him :fl

Wish I could have your urologist, Diva. Mine isn’t very personable and he’s too abrupt to really listen....feels like he’s already got an answer stuck in his head and just waiting out the question, whether the pre-programmed answer fits or not. The only reason I even see him is because I have to renew my catheter prescriptions annually.

Now that Grand Lodge is over and we are done, I have a lot of “catch up” appointments to make. I’m 8 months late with the cardiologist, I have to get into the podiatrist’s office soonest since I can’t even stand the bedcovers on my toes, my PAD needs a recheck, and I’ve put off doing something with my back for far too long. I don’t even know where to start. Shoot, aside from the feet I’m managing...l have half a mind to tell Ken and my primary to stuff it and just go in when I have an issue.

Man, I hope I didn’t jinx Richard by mentioning the antibiotics working for him!!

Just in case you thought I was kidding..and I’m posting full sized to give you the joys of the full effect. <sigh>

The closet in his office - he had to take the doors off because it is so overflowing.

The kitchen. One half is mine from the plant to the far right in the photo - check out his half.

That white cabinet holds my mixing bowls, measuring cups, pie pans, etc. I have to ask him to move out of his chair every time I need something. The box is full and overflowing with “important” papers. There are even papers on the hutch part.

And the office, in all it’s gory glory.

This is insane!
When my Dad passed we spent 4 months looking at every paper in his office. He clearly had dementia, there was no order to anything. We never did find the land deeds.

I remember that from going through Ken’s Dad’s stuff when we moved him him out here so I could take care of him. It was Ken, me, Linda, Russ, Lori, Steve, Ron, Bev and Tammy cleaning out Spike’s apartment - apartment, not house - and it still took us 3 days. I’ve reminded Ken of that time and time again - our kids don’t want any of that junk, anymore than Ken wanted his Dad’s. The garage, the storage unit (8x12), his side of the bedroom closet, and now my sewing camper look just like his office. And I haven’t made a dent in it today. Example: In 2001 the Masons of Lovell started a motorcycle raffle. In January of 2002, the winner was drawn, and the bike delivered. Wanna buy some raffle tickets? We still have 200 of them left - the printer made an error so we couldn’t use those tickets and had to reprint all new ones to sell. Yep. Like that.

I just now told him that I’m contacting the town, having a double dumpster plunked down in the driveway, and if we fill it ten times then we fill it 10 times, but this crap has got to go. Period.

I’m sure he’ll resume speaking to me tomorrow - or the next day.
