When I water bath can it, I'll add a touch of rosemary maybe two sprigs for the pot along with a hand full of oregano and basil and a half handful of thyme. When I pressure can I use the recipe here https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/recipe-suggestions-please.1196387/page-4#post-18980902 I much prefer this version... and I've been known to break the rules and make a meat sauce and can it just starting with the cooked sausage and adding the paste to it. When doing a meat sauce I process for about 100 minutes just to be safe.
:woot

Love those herbs you add to your sauce!

I've got fresh basil on the counter for slow cooker drunken pork. I picked it about a half hour ago. I like to grow thyme, oregano, parsley, sage, rosemary and basil. I've tried and tried to grow cilantro without success. I grew lavender last year but couldn't figure out how to use it. This weekend we're going to can up some more chicken stock. with just the two of us, smaller batches are a lot easier, even if inefficient.

"drunken pork," sounds like something I should avoid. My mother(deceased) and I were cheap drunks. If we smelled a wine cork (NO JOKE) we started getting giddy. I avoid wine corks at every opportunity. Though I did take a few innocent sips of Mike's Hard Lemonade, out of curiousity. I was weaving back and forth on the sidewalk coming home.

How big were the sips?

Don't know why they call this drunken... No boose in it... Soy, chicken stock and honey. Diced pork chops, baby corn, hearts of palm, mushrooms, onion, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. A touch of sesame oil... then Snow peas and rice noodles topped off with fresh basil.

ETA: Green and red sweet pepper.

How was Sue’s first day of school yesterday Bob? It was yesterday wasn’t it?
Her first day was horrible... Way tooooo many criers and some parents who wouldn't leave. Today was much better. EVERYONE took a nap and way less crying and no hang out parents. The parents don't understand that they can prolong the transition. Once Sue has the kids for a bit of time, she'll have them all in line... Get them out of the pull-ups and get a functional class room. She acts all embarrassed when parents of former students come back and talk about how well the kids are doing in kindergarten and how far ahead of the rest of the class they are... But when she comes home she's just beaming.

Sounds like a teacher I would love to work with. I’m glad today was better for her.

I'm amazed at how quickly she can get her class under control. Another funny is wally world or the grocery store... She ALWAYS tries to hide from her current and former students. But when they see her, she gets hugs and parental praise and blushes. it's so embarrassing for her. That said, after they've gone she'll beam for the rest of the night. She worked her butt off to get her Master's degree and she's the third person in the family to have one. My cousin and his wife were the first two... If you can't tell I'm just a bit proud of her. When she was raising our kids I was pretty much always gone. And she did a great job without any support network. I didn't have a choice about being gone, I went where the military sent me. But I've seen way different outcomes from other families in similar situations.

I have to post a picture of my nephew. This is the one who lost his eye. They just finished the colored part of his eye today. Unbelievable! You would never know it was not his real eye. They also did a Marine eye for him. I’ve never heard of it before. The doctors are donating that part of it to him as he was in the Marine’s. The 2nd picture is what the Marine eye looks like.
