Debby, thought of you yesterday while I was enjoying a bowl of French Onion Soup - extra cheese - at the Proud Cut in Cody. See how many people are waiting for you to get here?

Probably ran for their lives once you had evidenceThe first time we talked to them they asked us to send them pictures. That was the last we heard from them.
I remember that!Man, I only vaguely remember changing my password to BYC, but I darn sure did!
Now Katie just whips out a cath, Kendra parks her hiney in a chair and Katie gets it done!
Yep, I remember that too.I think some of you will remember that.
And she's the better for it. You are a good Gramma. That was the last time I ever thought about sugar-coating anything for her.
Akumal. I know that because it is where DW and I went for our honeymoon nearly 29 years ago. She mentioned yesterday that she figured out she's been married half her life (to dateWe were at a place down the coast called Alkumal.
We got the wood hauled into the house...my arms will feel it tomorrow. I got my outdoor work done today and I got my coop cleaned.I love my camping weekends but I get nothing accomplished at home. I told hubby I wanted to stay home this weekend and chill.
What a lovely post BWish I was there sharing a bowl of soup with you.
But at least you got something accomplished today! I didn’t.
You will be.....might not be as soon as either of us want, but it’ll happen.
Kelsey, I was 15 years old, just months before I met Ken, before Ma ever bought a pack of hamburger or hot dog buns! Oh, we’d stop at McDonald’s once in very rare while, but we ate a lot of burgers at home, and we always ate them on bread. I remember that when money was really tight, she’d cook the burger patties, and then slice them in half like you’d slice a block of cheese or a cake layer or a layer cake - horizontally through the middle, making two thin burgers. But between two slices of bread, with ketchup, mustard, mayo and garden fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions, we still got plenty to eat. Dad, of course, always got a full burger. Two in fact. And it was the same with hot dogs - she’d split them and fry them in the cast iron skillet. We’d put them on a slice of bread, roll it up, and chow down.
Yep. I met him 3 months after my 16th birthday. Six days after I met him he gave me my diamond. We wanted to get married right away, but Dad said that we had to wait a year, and not just because I was so young. He worried because Ken was heading right back to VietNam in 2 weeks. So we wrote back and forth and kinda got to know each other a little better.
I turned 17 on the 29th of December. We were married on the 29th of February, exactly two months later. This coming February 29th we’ll celebrate our 52nd anniversary!
Thanks, not bad for Rural king chicks.Pretty birds!
We met on a blind date when I was 17. First year of University for me.Confession time: When he gave me my diamond, I said, “I’m not in love with you. I’m not even sure what that means. But if it’ll get me out of this town, I’ll go.” When we actually got married 11 months later, I still wasn’t sure, but my parents and siblings didn’t know that. He did. But he said later that the second day we spent together after we met, while we were at a family friend’s house, we were all having some sort of discussion....neither of us recall what it was now....and he realized that he was sitting with a girl who could carry on an intelligent and enjoyable conversation. He said I was also the first thing he’d seen with round eyes in a year. What a way to start a marriage, huh?![]()
