Yep, I'm very familiar with mullet, I'm a Marine Biologist by degree. Actually, mullet's are very physiologically advanced fish.

That's their physical body type. They have a highly advanced nervous system, as far as fish are concern. Their bodies adapt to widely varying salinities, pH ranges and are actually thought to have some rudimentary thought processes.

thank you, makes sense, they are nervous, just by watching them, but then i would be too if everything wanted to catch and eat me i know also that the bull sharks will go up into rivers, are they also physiologically?

Most of the time a bigger fish is after them but then again mullet are just plain crazy!

Someone somewhere told me it was to shake parasites loose, but that didn't quite compute to me.
