The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I post all of those nice photos, and yes, I had fun! But then this....Ended up in the ER room for myself last night. Chest pain, neck, jaw, left arm. I've had to go in before for this.. through the past few years. They can't explain it, but said to come in when it happens, just to be on the safe side. Blood work came back fine. X-ray too. I know stress plays a big part when this happens. I had that melt down last week. Go for a follow up with my Dr. on Thursday. Thinking he may up my celexa. Want ..another stress test since it's been a while. Thinking I may need it. I'm worrying so much over my husband. Wish I could be as calm as I've been able to be for other things in the past. This is the hardest thing ever though. Alzheimer's . . . . . .
Yes, first my Aunt and then Mom. I suspect Dad was getting it when he passed. Terrible disease!
Scary about the trip to the ER!

CYN how long have you been on Celexa? I've been on the generic which doesn't work as well. With real Celexa I was on 10 mg. Then insurance changed to the generic and some idiot dr. upped it to 40 mg. Much too high for a senior. But didn't cause any problems - probably because I was so used to it.

I"m cutting back- taking half a pill(20 mg.) per day, and just about to change to 20mg every other day. I've been on other SSRI but, none of them worked - only Celexa. The dr. put several of his patients on it and I'm the only one it helped :fl.

NEVER have the placebo effect because I NEVER believe any med. will help. When I notice things have been much better, THEN I admit the meds work.

I was forgetting to take the pill often just because I am forgetful period. Because of this I don't think I need it anymore. I outlived two psychiatrists (partners) so I've been on my own. Another thing I have noticed as I get older - I don't have the energy to "fall apart," so it just doesn't happen.

Hi Jae!
So glad that you're in your house finally! That caravan must have been quite unpleasant long term.

Now that you've got your home will we be seeing you more often?

Pics of cattle please.

JAE!!!!!! :hugs
Nice to know you are still alive and kicking. We worry when our friends go AWOL. Glad you are in your house now, I second the request for pictures. Is DH going to allow a cow in the house??

You can have mine! I am NOT a hot pepper person.

Smart man! I'm the same way with DW, she likes more hot than I do. Of course there are things that burn one part of your mouth or another and sometimes I don't find things hot that she thinks has some heat.

 I think one cow would move in if she could. That would be Maisy who loves attention:

This one is Merry who is also very confident and sweet:

Then there is Milkshake who is warming up to us and has discovered that having a scratch is rather good:

And lastly Macaroon who is still a bit skittery but she's getting better:

Those photos are from a couple of weeks ago so I must get some new ones. They are supposedly Murray Grey crossed with either Friesian (Holsteiners to you) or Jerseys. I think Merry is a Jersey cross as she's smaller and has the shorter, cuter Jersey face. It will be interesting to see how they turn out.

And somebody asked if we still had cockatiels inside (sorry - I forgot to hit 'quote') and yes, we have quite a few as there was a second batch of babies that we have raised. They are all so adorable. But one special one is my Cameo who is a cinnamon pied lutino hen. She's going to be so pretty as the cinnamon comes through as a lavender wash on her wings. It's very light at the moment but will darken a bit as she gets older.

And we are keeping our little special white baby who is now called Sprout. He's only a little thing and we just adore him. Here's a photo of him enjoying a full face scratch:

Enjoy your Christmas Eves everyone and have a relaxing Christmas Day. I'm just waiting for two excited children to go to sleep so I can do the same. We are going to my younger sisters place tomorrow and my older sister is up with her partner from Kapiti (near the bottom of the north island of NZ) so they are coming out to visit us on Boxing Day (which you guys don't have, do you?). So I may not get on here in the next couple of days but hopefully I can stop by more often.
