Sorry about having to take time off your annual leave Sue. Hope you can make the best of the day anyway! And hope you haven't picked up any bug from the sick kiddos.

It's all good-I'll get stuff done around here and do some exploring on my own while Bob works we have so many places to walk on the land that I haven't had time to check out. I just did my first close to the house walk after feeding the animals early. Took some pictures and just enjoyed myself.
Nope on the getting sick-I've been very lucky so far

A late chime in, but I love the trip down memory lane idea for your anniversary too @Grammy60 . With it being Valentine's weekend it may be difficult to find a B&B with availability.

Hubby doesn't really want to go anywhere, so it might be something at home and we have tons of photo albums. Your right about the B&B's being booked already. Maybe lunch or dinner out and then we shall see for the rest of the day

afternoon everyone, getting dark here, but then its been dark since this morning , no sun at all altho its nice and warm, going to storm here tonight according to husband, be prepared sue and rj, it might head that way
lizards are out anyway, caught one in my washer room, this is the second time, first time i took him out to one of the gardenia bushes and let him loose , this time i put him in the greenhouse, noticed yesterday alot of some kind of flies in there so maybe he can catch a meal or two, looks like he needs to gain some weight

Yeah, I find Hoag okish. Generally what I'd consider a "light" read. Sometimes I go to those after reading a huge historical fiction series.

Ooo the slide sounds like a great idea! I was at my electrician's house last week and scored a bunch of big wooden spools. So far they're not paying much attention to them, but I think that the snow is inhibiting the rolling.

Sometimes you can get big kiddie playgrounds with slides free for removing them from people's yards!
