Great news Sour... Sorry I'm still not adult enough. Between working for a few months in a hospital and then seeing the office manager dictate my "treatment" to the doc, I've lost all faith in the profession. I sooooo miss my childhood doc who only cared about my health.Good news is that there is no change in my aortic and mitral valves. Blood pressure in my legs is fine. They admitted that the BP in the legs check was a mistake, but would have done so at 80 anyway so just got it done early - serious apologies over this. We talked about the multi visit thing and I was assured that first and last visits did not incur a Medicare fee only the tests were charged for. Next year the number of visits should be just 2 not 4. You would have been proud of me. I was very calm, logical, and adult.

Good for you on the check up Sour (and the calm, adult stuff)!
i love cream of wheat with lots of butter, sugar and cream, can't eat it anymore since i became a diabetic but still love it, but then, haven't met to many foods i don't lovegrits i grew up eating from the time i could handle a spoon, momma fed me before, we had grits, fried eggs, white meat(salt pork) or sometimes bacon or if any left over meat from supper, momma would warm it up in gravy and her biscuits, momma was a good cook
thats the way mom made the mush, of course i took right to itThat's how I grew up eating cream of wheat too Sharron. Every morning before school, mom would fix either cream of wheat or oatmeal (her choice of course).
You mentioned mush...Mom used to make that too. She'd make up a thick mixture and put it in loaf pans to set up. Then she'd thin slice it and fry it up. That was always served with maple syrup for special weekend breakfasts.
Grits were not to be found in the midwest, I didn't ever see them until I was an adult. But love them! DH will sometimes cook them up and serve them with a soft cooked egg on top and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
