Hi Sue, you also! Thank you☺I’ll have to bake the cupcakes the weekend before and freeze them and then frost the morning of. No way I can do it in one day and keep my sanity!

Hi Jae, hope you'll share some pictures when the little ones are ready for the public :D

You bet I will. I got up just before 5am and went to check on progress. I hadn't heard a peep so assumed baby was still working on the process and I really wasn't expecting it to hatch until this afternoon. But when I shone the torch in the egg was gone. I finally spotted a gorgeous little tuxedo over the other side of the incubator (which is a cheap one and difficult to see into) completely dry and snuggled up to the other eggs as quiet as a mouse. Even though I've turned the brooder light on to warm up which is next to the incubator it's still quiet.

I just hope a friend hatches for it before the end of the day.

Thanks all for the Anniversary wishes. 52 years! Whoodathunk he’d make it this long and not have ended up being part of the foundation for a shed or something? Well, he’s good to the kids and the dog don’t bite him, so he stays! We have sure crammed a lot of living into those 52 years.

Yes of course, Debby, you may have my margarita. I’ve half a mind to order one anyway and not finish it all, but my next GFR test is March 5th, and I’ve done all I can this past month to get that number back up. I don’t want to screw it up now.

It‘s supposed to get up to 59 in Billings today! Should be a gorgeous day for a celebration, unlike the near blizzard conditions in Sioux Falls when we got married. He’s taking me out to eat, then taking me to Kay’s to pick out a little bauble. I’ve had a Kay’s card for years, but we barely use it - just enough to keep it open. I buy a piece I like, pay it off in 2-3 months. I choose things that I like, but always with the kids in mind. When I pass away, I don’t have a big legacy or small fortune to leave them. But I do have some very nice, genuine stones in the jewelry, and when the girls, grandkids, and my sisters are left some of it I want them to remember seeing me wearing it. All the sapphires are Jenny’s, the diamond pieces are Lori’s, the tanzanites and blue topaz are Tam and Katie’s, etc. so they each have birthstone pieces to wear. I have one ring that has blue diamonds, peridot, and blue zircon in it - that’s Lori’s because it has Linda’s birthstone, Lori’s birthstone, and my birthstone in it. Today I have my eye on a blue topaz bracelet, but we’ll see.

Hope that snow forecast is wrong for you guys down south. You’ve had about enough, I think, and still have to get through March and April blizzards, then hail and damaging winds in May, June and July.

Good egg day yesterday.....I have 11 ladies and got 10 eggs. One of the Wellsummers took the day off. I need to start doing something with all of these....man, they are adding up fast! I think if I’d known about the kidney thing we wouldn’t have gotten chickens. I can’t eat egg yolk, but I can eat the whites, my least favorite part of eggs. And egg whites without salt? <shudder> I’m taking a dozen over to Tam and Evan tomorrow. Even loves making omelets. Kenny and Jenny won’t use them. With the last flock I had, Jenny cracked an egg that had a pretty good blood spot in it - her gag factor kicked in and that was the end of farm-fresh eggs for her! She’s funny that way - when she was a kid she used to love tuna, but then she found out that those little things in the can were bones. Enter the Gag Factor. They don’t have bones in canned Tuna anymore but she just can’t do it. Her mom used to slip Jen’s seizure medication into ice cream. Jenny is the only human being I’ve ever known who will not touch ice cream now.

Well, off to shower for our big day!
enjoy your day blooie and show us what you picked out when you get home
