Everyone make it a great day!

Hey everyone! We had some rain overnight and this morning (got soaked by an unexpected shower when I went to feed the chickens) but now the wind is blowing and drying up all that much needed moisture. They are saying we'll have an ex-tropical cyclone heading towards us soon so we'll see how that pans out. But at least the grass is growing.

Those wild geese have set up house on our block. They like sleeping on our driveway! And they spend their days on or by our pond.

Our quail are growing like topsy and incredibly the one that was walking on its ankle (that I couldn't even straighten to set it) is now walking flat on that foot. He still limps and he'll always have a kinky ankle but I'm amazed. Our last egg hatched out too so we have 32 littlies.

Here are some photos for you guys - I'm getting sore shoulders from crouching on the floor trying to take photos through the cage door. But they are very friendly babies and so adorably cute.

I'm pretty sure this is Curly (the one with the bung ankle) cuddling with Sticky.

Hope you are all coping with the time change alright. I have to wait until 5th April to get back my stolen hour.

Hi Jae, glad to hear you got some much needed rain! Loved seeing the pictures :love

I can arrange for you to get that recipe,nDebby, no problem. But I’ll wait until I get on my computer so typing will be easier. Ken said he’d be happy to share.

So much going on today I’ve barely been on. Evan just found out his GPA today and is he pumped!! 3.665. 89% in English, all A‘s in his other classes. This is the kid who barely got a 2.9 in his other school, so he is one proud kid and so is mom Tam? And success breeds sucesss,so onward and upward!

Katie tried out for the annual school musical tonight. Who cares if she gets a part, besides obviously Katie? To think that a little girl with Autism could blossom like this and try out for a play that runs for 3 nights is phenomenal! The place is always packed for all performances, and Katie tried out for the part of Thedora, but told the drama coach she was willing to take any part or even work on scenery. That’s the attitude, Bug!! I was just as stunned when Jamie came home and told me he’d tried out for Guys and Dolls in high school, and he told them the same thing. Whooda thunk he‘d get the part of Arvide, one of the lead singing parts!! He loved it! She will too!!

Kendra has taken to spelling out “bedtime” every night when she gets sleepy. Tonight Jen was a little slow getting her jammies on and Kendra spelled, “Bedtime. Hurry.” Whoa!!!

And Fiona came home from the boarding kennel tonight. We told her she’s getting a little brother but she wasn’t impressed. Tam got a golden retriever puppy. She’ll be picking him up the last week in March. We got one too. Fiona loves playing with the other dogs at the kennel so much and she gets bored here by herself. So as soon as the puppies are old enough, Ken, Tam and I will be driving to Riverton to pick them up. She’s naming hers Jorgen, pronounced like Yor-gun, but our keyboards don’t do Swedish letters. Mine is either Fingal or Tater Tot. Ken wanted to name him Renal. Um, NO!! So there you have my quiet day.

Jorgen

New puppies, that's exciting news B! They're both adorable, and how fun for Fee to have a playmate.

Good for Katie on wanting to be involved in the play! That little gal is amazing.

Morning all...

Had one of my six month checkups With the Surgeon Oncologist and he was floored with How much weight I have lost.. Passed the check up with flying colors.

According to their scale I am down 128.5 pounds. More than half way I want to loose at least 100 more.

Then I can have my Surgery Hernia repaired. :wee

Oh and for those who are worried My goal is 150-175 pounds. I am currently at 249.5 pounds. There will be a certain point where Only the addition of exercise will continue the progress. I bought a stand up walker so I can walk easier.

I have walked with it once at the height I should have it but my back doesnt like it so I have it down on the last notch. I need to see my chiropractor to see If I can get adjustments or if I need to see a doctor.

Terrific progress Deb!
