The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Oh, she needs it. She is on Aimovig for her migraines, self injected every 28 days. Not cheap stuff without insurance. They are being tossed from the dorms on Sunday (at least they got a 1 week notice). The next 3 weeks will be in an AirBnB on PEI with one of the girls, then 2 weeks in the girl's family's summer camp (also on PEI) presuming the well will be thawed by then.

Yeah tourism is big in the USA as well. LOADS of people will be unemployed soon. I suspect my niece, who's wedding we went to last Sat in So. Cal., will be one of them. She is an event planner. Not much to plan when "gatherings" are supposed to be held to 10 people or fewer.

Your poor girl's going to be a bit of a gypsy for the next 6 weeks then. I can see why you said you wished their lease could've started a bit sooner.

Good morning Jae, have a great day :frow

Is it afternoon where you are yet? We are planning to make easter biscuits. We want to try painting fondant with food colouring but it sounds like you have to leave it to dry a little before adding the 'paint' so we can make them today and decorate tomorrow.

It's cold here today (by my standards anyway:lol:). It was yesterday too. We've had some rain which is good, but it's also been very cloudy so no lovely sun to warm us up. Sometime in the next 2 weeks we'll have our chimney installed for our gas fireplace as that wasn't done when the house was moved. We were going to put in a wood burner but will leave that for now as I don't think we'd get it done before winter hits. Would be nice just to have a bit of heat first thing in the morning. Having the oven on to bake biscuits should help warm things up a bit.

Good afternoon all. I got a care package from a friend today. Among other things, this :lau

I'm glad your DD has her insurance up there and her living arrangements set up. With students having to leave the dorms, are schools reimbursing parents who paid for the rooms?

We are invited to a wedding next Friday. We got a letter in the mail today saying only immediate family is now invited. I was waiting for it as the grandparent died a couple weeks ago and they cancelled her funeral.

Nice:D

Well ..Dr called me concerning my husband and the test for his prostate. Long story short, he asked if we thought it would be best for him to go through surgery if he has cancer. He explained how slow this cancer is. How hard it would be on him with his Alzheimer's. I had never thought about it. Boy, did I start reading. Sure enough, it's slow. And yes, I know it would be hard on Scot. I did talk with him. He understood, I had to explain it a couple of times, but he says...no..no surgery. I like having him just the way he is right now..for a while longer. Going through what he would have to would have him declining even faster. So, no surgery.
