I have found some chicken chicks to be friends for my little one and only that will hopefully hatch.

I contacted the lady who runs the Northland Poultry Club and she wouldn't usually have chicks at this time of year but she had an OEGB hen sneak off and make herself a nest and she's currently sitting. She'll let me know when they hatch. She thinks they've got about a week or so to go. She has no idea who the father is (she mostly has bantams with a couple of large breeds, but all the breeds she has I like) so it'll be fun to see how they turn out. We adore our 2 OEGB hens, even though they aren't friendly (we bought them as pullets).
My Muscovy babies continue to make me wait. I can see them all pressing up against the membrane (all still moving) and a couple look to be internally pipped. I'm hoping we'll see some action tomorrow.
I'm off to bed soon so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow.
Enjoy your mornings and I hope the weather is being kind to you. ☀
