The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Yes ma'am. Easier for me to sit with her too. Just found out DD and her heathens are going across town for a b'day party and won't be home until tomorrow:yaGrammy and Gramps are ready for a break and so are the kids to be honest.

Hope you and Igor have a quiet, restful evening IM!

DH went to Casper for the weekend, he's still working on the bathroom plumbing. So it's been a quiet day for the cats and me. They always get clingy when he leaves, so I've been tripping over cats all day

One of our cats adores my DH and she's loving having him home at the moment. I hate to think what she'll be like once he's having to travel back to Auckland for work.

That's the same here Jae. One of them, Pip, is a daddy's girl. When he leaves she hangs on me like velcro. But once he comes back, she can't remember my name.

Funny how they'll pick and choose who they prefer. At least the 2 boys are mine!

Laundry dried outside always smells so good! Hope it doesn't get soaked.
It clouded up for a little bit and went back to sunshine. I love line dried close except towels. If it’s really hot with no wind they get to crunchy.
I bought gas for $1.15 a gallon today!
I got it for $1.34 on Wednesday.

I have found some chicken chicks to be friends for my little one and only that will hopefully hatch. :yesss: I contacted the lady who runs the Northland Poultry Club and she wouldn't usually have chicks at this time of year but she had an OEGB hen sneak off and make herself a nest and she's currently sitting. She'll let me know when they hatch. She thinks they've got about a week or so to go. She has no idea who the father is (she mostly has bantams with a couple of large breeds, but all the breeds she has I like) so it'll be fun to see how they turn out. We adore our 2 OEGB hens, even though they aren't friendly (we bought them as pullets).

My Muscovy babies continue to make me wait. I can see them all pressing up against the membrane (all still moving) and a couple look to be internally pipped. I'm hoping we'll see some action tomorrow.

I'm off to bed soon so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow.

Enjoy your mornings and I hope the weather is being kind to you. ☀

Good news on finding someone with eggs soon to hatch Jae! Maybe by the next time we hear from you, there will be some Muscovy babies to see :fl
