The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Sharron. Did your hubs get your greenhouse finished?
yes, well he did three sides and i told him the fourth side is fine, leave it alone, if it does go bad, we have the materials for him to put a new side on. been taking things out for a few hours to get them used to the weather , probably will plant tomatoes and peppers in the garden next week, maybe the weekend, just depends on how i feel, once i get the vegetables out of the gh i have a bunch of bulbs that need separated and their own pot mostly amarylis , butterfly, i just love them and they seem to love me, they always throw out two to three pups every year

Just got a small package from Zazzle, turns out my son found a doggy print face mask, for me.

I'll be wearing it this weekend, while standing in an endless line waiting to get into Wallyworld.
I have not been forced to stand in a line in a while.

We are moving off of sheltering in place this week though so more people may be out and about.

Maybe you need a new avatar with the dog print mask!

Good morning everyone! :)
:frow Good afternoon Chrissy, I hope you've had a good day.
We cool down to that today! :wee
:frow Good afternoon Ron, I hope your day has been good

:frow Good afternoon Nancy, I hope you've had a good day. Sorry, I can't remember if I've told you hello today or not.

Good afternoon everyone. It's toasty outside, currently 111* We went to walmart for a new patio umbrella, you don't realize how much those things help until they need replacing! I'm feeling pretty good today so I cleaned half the bedding out of the main coop, then all the bedding out of the mini coop and soaked the dirt floor, then turned the fan so it blows inside. Huge win, the older birds LOVE it. They get deep shade in there and the soil is loose and cool. I bought some succulents for an empty pot I have laying around, going to transplant those now, then we're having bbq'd salmon for dinner. Have a great night all!

I had to stand in line at the ups store to return a battery to amazon. Luckily today is only about 85F outside.

They do love fans and water in the heat!

I am hoping that the local Pita Pinta folks here in California can get more of them from Greenfire.
Maybe someone named Ron!

If he can just finish off the full bath and get all his "junk" (tools) out
Tools are NOT junk!!!!!

I am very happy with the new look - they look natural, and finally I can eat corn on the cob again.
Yay!!! Though corn on the cob will have to wait. That is one of the foods I buy only if it was grown locally.

My sister in Huntington Beach said the number of cases and deaths in Orange county the last 2 weeks is worse than ever before. Yet they have opened the beach and the pier.

I managed to finish planting the garden today including 4 tomato plants. 3 are heritage of unknown variety that were given to my MIL. She and FIL live in a retirement community, no idea who thought they would have anywhere to put 4 tomato plants. She did plant one but isn't sure there will be enough sun for it.

We got rain this afternoon, first in several weeks. A T storm blew through but fortunately we weren't in the direct path though there was one LOUD crash boom very close. Not plant destroying hail though.
